Thank you for your feedback! The first time you remove the blade, it may be a bit tricky on certain devices. Don’t be afraid to use a bit of force for the first time. Your next time replacing the blade will not be as tough as it’s just the first time that we’ve noticed can require a bit more force. Try holding the sides of the blade with the cover on and grasp the top of the blade with the top pointed into your palm applying pressure to both sides with your thumb on one side and index or middle finger on the other. Then using your other thumb, push from the back of the blade. Don’t be afraid to apply pressure as the tool is comprised of high quality material and will not be easily damaged. Make sure you are pushing down with your thumb :)

These other devices you mentioned are primarily eyebrow hair touch up tools, comprised of cheap metal and plastic, should not be used more than once, and can often cause skin irritation. Our Dermaplaning Tool was designed with the blade held at a specific angle to easily and comfortably dermaplane your face at a 45° angle which is the ideal angle for removing peach fuzz, and most importantly dry dead skin cells. This way anyone can achieve a professional exfoliation treatment at home!
