Unfortunately, it sounds like there was a misunderstanding as to what the Lip Peel is for - it is not to change lip color. It is a product to soften and dissolve lip chapping - dry lips. There is also absolutely nothing in the product that could lead to a change in lip color, i.e. darker lips. “I just received my Lip Peel, a bit dissapointed in the size it’s super small. Not sure what to expect in the coming days or weeks but I applied it as directed and have not noticed any peeling or am I not supposed to notice peeling. Hi Elisha! Thank you for commenting and great question! Firstly we designed this tool to be excellent for travel and to easily fit in your purse and clutch or pocket. The great thing about this product is that you do not need a lot of product to see the benefits. Simply roll on your lips a light layer 1-2x daily and after just a few uses your lips will plump and smooth and hydrate. While some people may experience peeling after a few uses, it is important to note that you do not need to physically peel to "peel". This is designed to slowly exfoliate and remove dead skin without the harsh peeling and abrasiveness you receive with scrubs. You can also apply a lip balm or our HA Hydrating Serum over this peel for added hydration. We hope this helps and look forward to hearing your continued feedback!
“I don’t write reviews. Most products aren’t worth it. But I’ve picked at the skin on my lips for years, enough to have discoloration on them. Scrubs alone, not enough. Really good lip balms? Not enough. The only thing that actually helped was keeping my nails too short to pick, a trick I learned when I got chicken pox as an adult.
I saw this when I was looking for lip scrubs with aha in it. I was skeptical, but a little desperate. Umm, guys, this stuff is amazing. For the first week, I used it twice a day. The dryness literally sloughed off. Now I do it once a day and my lips look better than they have in years. I still keep a sugar scrub because as the skin sloughs off I don’t want to be tempted to pick. My husband used to say “no picking” when he’d catch me doing it. He hasn’t said it in weeks.
It’s too early to know if this will help with the discoloration (I wear an spf 50 lip balm in the daytime as well), but if it does I’ll write a second review.”
