“I've been using my new Stages SB20 for 2 months and I am seriously impressed. 3 members of our house use the bike and it's very easy to switch between sizes. The bike is rock solid, quiet, the Bluetooth and ANT+ connections are fast and stable. I like the power responsiveness, the ease of gearing changes (plus the variety of gearing and shifter setups), and the position of the phone and tablet mounts. “I wanted a low hassle turnkey path to get onto Zwift and start indoor cycling. This trainer certainly is just that. I have leveled up to 15 in Zwift on the bike and feel like I can post a review now.
I am 6'2" / 230lbs and I have to move the seat all the way back and the post to near max height to be comfortable. If you are bigger than me you may want to modify things a little to get comfortable.
During setup the crank was much softer metal than my pedal stems and I damaged the crank. The customer support is US based and responsive, they have sent me replacement parts on two occasions with no charge or hassle, that is incredible service these days.
I update the firmware on the bike through the Stages Android app, it works very and allows me to dial in the shifting gaps which is important for Zwift.
I have an old gaming PC with a $20 floor ANT+ antenna from Amazon, hooked up to an 8k TV. The experience is incredible. I very rarely loose connection or anything like that.”
