There are times when you have an existing electrical box, or you need to use an electrical box other than our recommended 4" Round Electrical Box. If you have or are using a pancake box, octagon box, or round work box, you should also select this item for a more seamless installation.

“I used standard octagonal metal boxes for my light installation, and figured these adapters would help me mount the four-hold Steel plate to them. Well, I'm handy, but I couldn't find a way to make it work. Once you mount this to the box, you only get mounting locations for two of the four bolts. And nothing to keep your light stationary and in an upright position. In the end, I fabricated my own mounting system. LOVE the lights ... but mounting them to standard boxes is a pain.”

“Its a nice electrical box adapter, its just that the holes just did not line up with the light fixture canopy. So that was frustrating!”
