This large sized warehouse pendant light is comparable to the size of a large mixing bowl and serves up ample character to match. The Carson is our overhead version of our most popular light, The Gardena, and generally what most people imagine when they hear “farmhouse” or “barn lighting,” though it can be used in a million different ways however you see fit. The Carson is a sturdy fixture that comes standard with a 16” dome and a rigid, galvanized stem that can be customized for nearly any spot you have in mind. Let us know if you’d like the stem powder coated to match your shade, or if you want a black or a white cord instead.

“I now have purchased seven Carson pendant lights and the only thing keeping me from buying more is that I ran out of space. They are the perfect solution for my barn-style rec room and office. They are incredibly sturdy and well build compared to competing products. Great job Steel Lighting!”

“We have a building full of this type of lights, installed almost 30 years ago. These fixtures fit right in with the existing lights. We were happy to have these. They are perfect.”

“The Carson is well made and solid, with what looks like a durable paint job. It is a very nice addition to my timber frame shop under the loft where the ceiling is low. I bought the surface mount version's 4" mounting plate is sturdy and fits the 4" electrical box, but straddles the edge of the 4" hole in which the electrical box is recessed, leaving a tiny gap on one side and overlapping the other so that the plate is not bearing evenly. I returned the 4" mounting plates and ordered 6" plates that will bear evenly on the wood block in which the electrical boxes are recessed. It would have been nice to have the option to buy the 6" plate with the Carson and to know that a 4" plate does not work with a 4" recessed electrical box.”

“The light I purchase exceeded my expectations. Most things like this are more decorative and cheaply made. This items will stand up to decades of use. I'm thinking of replacing all of my cheaper exterior lighting with new fixtures from Steel Lighting.”
