We purchased three of these fixtures. 2 were mounting over the garage doors on our newly built home and one for mounting over the 14' door on our barn that is currently under construction. I found the product to be very well built and easy to assemble. I was surprised by the fact that the fixture has a sort of eliptical construction as the bulb relates to the shade. It is not round, like you would think, and therefore the fixture(s) must be oriented correctly. It took me awhile to figure this out but it was very noticeable when comparing the fixtures side by side. It took me several attempts to figure this out so I got really good at taking them down and reconfiguring the fixture. It also took me several attempts to make certain that all the threaded fittings were tight enough so that the wind would not rotate the light fixture. A tip that I developed that facilitated mounting the fixture to the box was installation of (4) 10-24 all thread to slide the fixture over. This allowed me to keep the bolt holes lined up and the electrical connections tucked into the electrical box. When the fixture was slid back all the way to the electrical box i pulled out the all thread bolts one at a time, replacing it with the proper bolt which was already aligned. BIG TIME SAVER!!! I purchased the dusk to dawn sensors and they were easy to mount and wire. The fixture looks great and performs per design and we are very pleased.

Received 2-Redondo 20” bells and 1-Hawthorn. The set screws shipped in the sealed parts containers for the Redondos were too large in diameter. They all fit the Hawthorn but none of the three fit either Redondo. We had to shave some screws but this is not optimum and doesn’t allow for firm tightening. I sent an email to help@ requesting to be mailed the proper set screws and received no response. The lights are nice but with the high price should come seamless transactions, good communication and the right parts.

Let me start out with I already had six of these lights on my house and garage. I built a new pole barn and wanted everything to match my house. So # 7 light was ordered. After the installation was complete it was found that the light did not funtion. After wasting a lot of time to backtrack all the wiring, switches, and junction box we find it is the light itself that was bad. This was found by dismanteling the whole light (after installing and the uninstalling and checking all of the buildings wiring) to find out that a brand new light had a defective part that I had to take out and call the company. I was informed that this part was found to be a problem before. I had to wait for parts to reassemble the light and start the install all over again. The electrical contractor was paid for an install a uninstall and a reinstall. The light was $219.00 but for poor quality control this light cost me double.

I bought two Redondo lights for my garage and hay shed, they are beautifully made and hang so well. The light is bright and broad, I couldn’t be happier with them!
