“The plate is sturdy and I like the look. However, one suggestion is to make a 5” plate. The 4.25” plate is too close in size to the electrical box and it was difficult to cut the hole so close in size in our siding. When we installed, it fell in on the top side so we ordered the 6” and my husband drilled a hole for the dusk to Dawn sensor but now we will have to cut the lap siding at the top if we want it to be flush. An option for a 5” plate would eliminate both issues for us. Lights are beautiful and I chose these because it’s American made and the styles were just what I was looking for. Customer service was great both times I contacted.”
