“Outstanding watch.
I bought one about 4 years ago, and it kept absolutely perfect time.
It also stayed waterproof, despite a large chunk of the lens missing after I (accidentally, of course) hit it with a hammer.
When the battery 'ran out', I stupidly left it a couple of months before taking the watch to a jeweler to be replaced.
During that time - sadly - the battery had leaked, totally ruining the movement.
But, I will be treating myself to a new one once I have saved the money.
Excellent watch, you will NOT be disappointed.”
“Watch is fine, but it took 3 till I got one that worked. Customer service was quite good. They sent me return directions but would not send replacement until they received defective watch. This was an unnecessary delay as they have my billing info.”
“Wow Wow - What an impressive watch - I just love it - First day wearing it - it is so comfortable and lightweight - I am more than pleased with my new acquisition.
Being a watch enthusiast I will now keep an eye on future STOHRLING releases.
I am already thinking about getting a blue one and why not with a 'promised' 10% off my next purchase.
I am also very impressed with the whole process from order to delivery.
To the Management team - your workers and employees a huge thank you - I really can't wait to order another one from you guys..
Great service - great product - honest and transparent which all leads to a trusted brand - THANKYOU..”
“Wonderful Watch! The only suggestion I would like to see in the future is maybe supplying the buyer with a tool to remove the excess links. Had to take mine to a jeweler and had to pay additional $25.00”
“The question was asked in the e-mail that prompted this review, "Are you loving your Stuhrling?" I think it's too soon to say I'm loving it, since I've only had it two weeks, but overall, I'm certainly pleased with it, except for two rather minor flaws. If you blow up the attached photo, you can see a mar or scuff between the "50" and the next marker up, clockwise. I didn't notice it when I took my watch out of the box, so it would appear to have occurred during daily wear, causing some concern about durability. Also, if you look very closely at the photo, just to the left of the 12 o'clock index point, there's a small spot; I can't tell if it's a nick or a place where the enamel or whatever material is used on the bezel didn't take. That one I DID notice when I took the watch out of the box. However, neither screams at you and like a person, any watch can acquire character marks over time, so I'm chalking them up to my watch's life experience.
To cut to the chase, this watch suits my tastes and needs very well. Craftsmanship and appearance are quite satisfactory and commensurate with the price point, if not superior. It's comfortable to wear; my wrists are neither especially big nor especially small, and I could wear my watch out of the box without having it sized. It doesn't constrict or flop around. I've always been a fan of the diver and aviator aesthetics in watches but don't want to look like a wannabe Navy SEAL or astronaut, and this watch fits that bill quite nicely: a solid, beefy watch that's not all golliwog gadgetry (or gaudy bling).
My favorite feature, far and away, is the big numbers at 12, 3, 6, and 9, and the big,hands...in combination with the numbers, they offer a very authoritative, no-nonsense presentation of a watch's primary function: telling what time it. is. The lume for low light conditions is also good. Conversely, the small date that some complain about doesn't bother me....how hard is it to hold your watch around waist level or a similar distance if you want to check the date?
Final analysis, for anyone considering purchasing this watch: don't delude yourself into thinking you'd be getting the equivalent of a similar-looking watch with a 4 or 5 figure price tag, or you'll be destined for disappointment. If you want a Rolex, save up and get one. If you want an accurate, attractive, affordable, watch, here's your huckleberry; if my Stuhrling gives me, say, 5 years or more of satisfactory service and enjoyment in wearing, I will consider it money well spent.”
