“Shipping/Packaging - Everything was shipped in a fairly large plain cardboard box with "Sunset Lake Enterprises" on the return label. Inside was plenty of brown packing paper to keep everything secure. Digging down a little deeper I found the three jars of flower individually wrapped tightly with the same packing paper on top of a surprise box of CBD fudge (which is delicious). There was a whole packet of papers and such including a copy of their hemp license and labs for the fudge and all three strains of flower. The jars the flower came in weren't vacuum sealed, but they did a good job of keeping in the smell and I couldn't detect any when opening the box. They are small glass jars with a tamper seal. Each jar also had a 62% humidity pack in it as well, which is always appreciated. The label has the strain name, weight, CBD percentage, terpenes percentage with list of dominant terpenes, lineage (ST x GG4 for the Candy Kush), notes (smell, flavor), vibe (effects), and a QR code that takes you to the company labs page. Overall its a very nice package and makes you feel like it is a premium product.
Labs - The included labs are from ProVerdge Labs and show 17.6% CBDA (which comes out to 15.9% CBD), and some traces of other noids (including about .6% THCA) for a total cannabinoid content of 19.4%.
Appearance/Feel - My 1/8th weighed in at 3.6g so slightly overweight. It consisted of mostly medium buds. They were very well trimmed. The appearance is nothing super exotic, but the buds looks nice enough with some greens and light oranges. They are pretty frosty too. Although the look isn't necessarily anything to write home about, the cure and feel of the buds is spot on. They are very fresh and spongy feeling and have a great snap to them when breaking them up. They are sticky too, almost too much for my poor grinder to handle. They are pretty dense buds and the grind came out sticky and fluffy.
Smell - The smell on this is where the magic happens in my opinion. It smells just like the name implies, like lemon candy, lemon heads in particular. There is a little gas in there too, but man those fresh sweet citrus notes are nice. Grinding up the bud released a little more of the gas, but not enough to cover up the candy.
Taste - The taste was nice too, but not as sweet as the smell. It was a fresh taste though with hints of that citrus and gas. The first few hits through my vape were pretty terpy, especially at low temps. There was plenty of vapor production and it was smooth enough to where I didn't cough almost at all.
Effects - Sometimes I get a nice little buzz from CBD flower from the small amounts of THCa, but I didn't get much buzz from this one. Maybe a little, but it wasn't very noticeable. I did get a very chill feeling though that went along with with their advertised vibe of "snacks and movies". I didn't want to let them down so I had some Oreos and watched The Burbs and it was a very relaxing evening. The biggest noticeable effect in my opinion was a sense of calm and well-being that lasted about an hour or more. It was very nice after a stressful day and made the evening much more enjoyable.
Conclusion - The biggest high points for me on this flower are the cure/feel of the buds, the professional packaging, and the smell. The flavor and effects were pretty good as well. The looks weren't anything crazy, but the trim job was nice and you can definitely tell these are fresh buds. Overall I was impressed and can't wait to try the other two strains as well.”

“This is it folks. My favorite sunsetlake say bay day strain!! I’ve been smoking it daily for a few years now since I heard of sunsetlake on The Majority Report. I mostly smoke lifter during the day, and cherry abbicus at night. Perfect, chef’s kiss! However, i’m a big indica fan and my favorite strains are kush, hindu kush, bubba kush, OG kush, Afghani kush. I also mix and match during the day and at night to add some cbd to my smoke sessions. Well….candy kush mixes so well and has a very smooth and earthy taste like its cousins. It chills your vibe, but doesnt knock you out. The perfect happy medium for your evening sesh. This may be the best yet!!!
Also I’d like to add that someone stole my original order and sunset lake being the amazing baddasses that they are replaced it nearly immediately. This is the greatest company, love it!!
