“The compressed height of the air bag is 120mm, the original bump stop height is 70 mm. This reduces the spring travel 50mm, which is unacceptable. The under side of the chassis rail was already polished by the bump stop as a result of the condition of queensland roads A better outcome would have been to fit air bag shock absorbers, This would have given the required load assist and maintained the spring travel.
