Hi David, I am so sorry to hear your ASPIRE Sevens were not as thick as you were hoping. Someone will be reaching out with you shortly to get these exchanged, as the ASPIRES do feature our least amount of cushion. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.
“The Aspire Seven is a good technical sock. Nice material - nylon and olefin - with a good fit and feel. I bought White, Hi-Viz Yellow, and Black. I liked the Black best, because they seemed to have more foot padding than the White or Hi-Viz. So I wear the Black pair for serious walking and jogging.
But for me, the Aspires would be better with just a little more padding on the forefoot and heel, and a higher heel counter for abrasion resistance. Also, the Aspire Sevens (and most socks) would benefit from anatomical (Left Right) foot patterns.
I didn't like seeing the Swiftwick logo so prominent on the top of the forefoot: if you have to show a logo, please place it on the bottom sole.
In general, the Aspire Seven in Black is a very good sock. I'm wearing them while writing this review, and they've become a new favorite. I'll buy more.”
“The ASPIRE Seven Black are a great sport sock. The toe and heel are adequately cushioned and the sock offers good compression and comfort. I use these socks as a hockey skate sock. They are also very "grippy" inside the skate and my foot is extremely stable because of that. The ASPIRE Seven Black are better than any "hockey skate sock" I have ever used. I highly recommend the sock to all hockey players and athletes of other sports.”
