I absolutely love these sweat wicking socks for my residual limb under my prosthetic. The only issue I have with them is that they are not ready wear when you receive them. I just tried them on in my prosthetists office and the residual fuzz and particles made me insanely itchy and have a reaction. Once they were washed, they were perfect.

Game changer...I am a very active below knee amputee (work full-time, play golf, workout, etc.) and for years, I was told not to wear anything underneath the liner for my prosthesis as it would interfere with the vacuum system that helps secure the socket to the residual limb...boy, was that some bad advice...the swiftwick Valor not only aids in increasing vacuum but the sock also helps with moisture management (I live in Arizona where heat/perspiration is an issue)...by increasing the vacuum, I have a more secure fit with less issues with sores on my residual limb due to the Valor sock assisting with moisture management...big fan of the Valor socks and will be sharing my experience with my prosthetists so they can share with other clients.

The words love can’t describe how I feel about the socks. I sweat a tremendous amount with any activity with my liners on. To the point where I carried two liners with me if I were going to play a round of golf. Now I just wear a sock. Now the sock is wet but I don’t feel the movement of the liner or liner bunch.

This sock was provided by a really helpful customer service representative for me to try for free as the size 9 provided by my prosthetist did not work out and rolled down into my popliteal fold causing discomfort. I had the same problem with this one as my thigh measurement exceeds the 18" maximum. I love the feel of the sock inside my liner and would recommend it to anyone that falls within the Sizing requirements. The sock was donated for use by another amputee in the Military Advanced Training Center at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. If Swiftwick makes sizing adjustments in the future I would order these to try again.

I enjoy the extra comfort and sweat wicking this sock provides under my prosthetic liner. I ordered one going by your measurements and it was too short. I called customer service and the gentleman I spoke with was super nice and sent me the next size up for free and it came very quickly. It was a little bit longer (like an inch) but STILL is a bit short for me. Not sure why that is. I would much prefer it to come over knee a bit higher where I'd have like 3" over top of knee. Being short (coming just over top of kneecap) , it tends to creep down slightly into the bend behind my knee. This is not comfortable for me. But the quality, softness, sweat wicking and seam are all outstanding. Perhaps I should still go longer?? I guess all of our limbs vary in shape souch that it's hard to fit everyone by one standard measurement.
