“awesome…. fyi…. they are not very “spot compression” more “same compression throughout” then many knee highs i buy….. which is a nice “mix up” with my other compression knee highs…. seem durable”
“Great support and well made socks. Need the support for a DVT but still hike regularly. Wish they had thicker padding in the foot for longer hikes or rocky trails. I'm still very happy with my purchase, will be getting more.”
“The sock portion (surrounding the foot itself), is comfortable, but the upper, compression part of this knee high sock (covering the shin and calf to just below the knee), is too tight. You need an XXL size for those of us with substantial lower leg musculature. I could barely get the compression sleeve part of this sock over my foot and once I struggled enough to get it all the way to just below my knee, the indention of my skin was immediate! My lower leg immediately felt "warm" (like a fever), and constricted.
Not trying to knock the socks overall, I have other lengths of these socks, specifically the Aspire Four (several pairs)... I thought it was just me, whether health, conditioning, or hydration... but these would leave me with a compressed area of skin (under my calf to about ankle bone leve), for hours after taking off the socks. Now I realize that I need an XXL size, at least for the compression part of the socks. That being said, I can wear the Fours all day and as long as I move around once in a while, I don't have a problem. If I don't walk around a bit, my foot will go to sleep or feel tingly. I thought it was the sock (foot covering portion), being too tight. But I do not have this problem with the Aspire Zero's that I have. I think the XL compression portion is constricting blood flow into my foot just enough to cause that tingly feeling. Again, not a knock against the socks manufacture, I just think I need a bigger sock/compression area.”
“I bought Aspire 12 (knee-high) to manage swelling after DVT on long bike rides. I wear size 12.5-13 or 46-47 shoes and XL fits perfect. I also bought Performance and the Aspire compression is much better. Would only recommend Performance for post workout recovery, not to manage swelling, but Aspire has good compression. Either model feels better to the touch and looks nicer than other compression sock brands I own. Only concern is that the ankle area does not have enough compression even in Aspire. I work on my feet all day and after 8 hours on my feet swelling still occurs right around the ankle, but they are okay for a 3-hour bike ride. Highly recommended if you don't have severe swelling issues.”
