I placed the order for a custom katana and it arrived in few weeks, they were quick in making it. The katana is more beautiful than I imagined. I also recommend it because the customer support is very helpful in providing information and always responds quickly for any clarification or doubt.

Everything as I ordered, except maybe the stamp on the tang… I can’t see it so I assume it’s there. Quality and workmanship top notch. Blade and hamon are beautiful. Arrived early!

Worth it! A fantastic overall sword for the price! I ordered on www.swordis.com a custom Hanbon Forge Hira Zukuri mat cutter using their customization web tool. I ordered September 3rd 2024 and received the sword on September 25th 2024 Which is really fast! The customer experience was fantastic. I’ve got 3 custom Hanbon Hira zukuri. this blade looks the best. No hammer ripples, Perfectly clean true Hira. The other two looked like they just sanded down a Shinogi zukuri to achieve the Hira profile. It seems they perfected the process. Tight Ito wrap, tight menuki. Good saya retention, clean koiguchi. Nice feel. Watch the 2 minutes ish video review for a better look. https://youtu.be/grqNuPcKPDE?si=I4kn1dDoaOgMii0Y It’s great for the $142.00 build cost. I haven’t cut with it yet, but it checks all the boxes. They did a wonderful job on profiling the blade. They make nice tsukas with tight wraps. For the money it’s really terrific. It’s a little less expensive than a Munetoshi Yuki Samgakdo which I have wanted for a while and they are always out of stock. It makes me really happy that there are now other options like this. It’s sharp (cuts phone book paper which is extra thin) but I’m going to give it a few passes on the work sharp and strop before I cut with it just to make sure the edge sharpness is consistent throughout the blade. It may not need me to sharpen it but being a fanatic for having the sharpest possible swords, I just want to. I’m looking forward to future cutting with this bad boy. It feels light and nimble. I feel this may be an agile tricking sword as well as a good tatami mat cutter.. Recommended for sure! There is nothing on the market available of this quality for this cost out there at all. I know. I moderate a katana forum, and have more than 32 Katanas in my current collection. I am an avid backyard freestyle cutter, a youtuber for katanas, and know a thing or two. You cannot beat the quality to price ration in this price bracket. You just can’t. I hope this was helpful.
