“I'm no expert. It was a friend, who knows his stuff, that suggested I go for this package. The dish is made of thinner metal than the Mk4 (I think he said it was) Sky dish it was replacing. The holes on the dish and brackets to hold the LNB arm did not quite line up, so as the assembly was tightened the dish bowed inwards around the bolts, which meant there was no longer a perfect parabolic shape. Whether this was the cause of not getting as good a signal as my friend had hoped or it was the second hand LNB he fitted is not clear. Nonetheless, the overall result was still better than that obtained with the original dish and LNB so I am satisfied - though I would probably go for a slightly better quality dish in the future.”
