I really wanted this case to work with my Ipad. The case is plastic. It may be nickle plated not too sure about that, it has a solid feel but a hollow cheapo kind of sound. It has all the bells and whistles that one would expect and a few were a surprise like the power bank that has 60 hours of charge time. Very impressive. The fit was spot on. In everyway it should have been an ideal combo. Except for one thing, the keyboard. It is awkward and the keys are just too dinky. The layout was odd, with the CAPS Lock button on the left being inordantly large and forcing your hands to sit off center toward the right. The right SHIFT key was way too small and too close to the cursor arrows so I would always find my cursor a line up or at the front of the line. The touch was stiff and one has to really depress the keys to get action. Talk about frustrating. I am a two handed trained typist, I type 85+ wpm and it just couldn't keep up and the layout was just too confined and awkward. Better suited to a hen and peck style typist. I am typing this on an older Logitech wireless keyboard and haven't had to make a single correction as I have crafted this review. Sidebar to this search for a combo case. The problem I have with this Logitech keyboard is just that it's a keyboard half case. The iPad does sit snugly into it for a case like experience but the back of the iPad is exposed and a drop could be fatal, The other unacceptable Logitech thing is the iPad sits in a narrow trough while you type but its not a secure fit and the tablet falls out if your not very careful. That's why I wanted a replacement for it but it's what I have and it works well enough for now. I will continue to use my old Logitech but I'm afraid it's back in the box for the Cooper Case and return for a refund. So, the search continues for the perfect combo iPad case.

I love this combination keyboard and case. It provides complete protection for my iPad without adding bulk and it looks very sleek. It is easy to set up and use. The keyboard keys are spaced like a full keyboard so I don't have to "cramp up" my fingers. The key action is very smooth. The price is perfect. I would definitely recommend this product and repurchase.

I have purchased three (3) clamcase case for my ipad. After less than 1 year on one the keys stuck and on the remaining two cracked by the hinges. I was unaware that amazon warranted them for 6 months but clamcase warranted them for one year. I am waiting for a replacement.

Bought this to replace an old keyboard that gave up after 4 years. Design concept is great with the Clamshell and it looks good, but the device delivered was not branded as the advertised picture and had no identification to confirm it was the keyboard I ordered. Positive - Looks good, nice Apple Mac Book SIlver finish, USB Port can be used to charge your iPad - which is a great idea when you are caught short without your battery charger. Battery lasts a long time without recharge. Negative - As mentioned I am dubious that the delivered keyboard was as advertised. The keyboard keys are cheap and clicky, the shell that holds the iPad 2 is a lose fits and it drops out if you are not careful. Instructions are not of any value, but it's not hard to pair a bluetooth keyboard. My keyboard (as mentioned in other reviews), started to present multiple letters when you typed one key, then stopped working. Another review said the wifi hub was interfering so I turned of my wifi on the iPad and it started working for a few monents but not reliably. Either way if the wifi interferes there is a design fault as I have had three previous keyboards in the same house on the same device without problem. All in all it's a shame as the design is good but the quality is very poor and this vendor maybe missing a market opportunity as there are not many good design keyboards on the market for an iPad 2 (non-air) model.

I recieved an unbranded product, this item had already been opened (the plastic round sticker one peals back had already been pealed back, not good), the box it came in has 5 small puncture holes on the top right at the side). The keyboard takes multiple attempts to pair and keeps saying device not in range when my new (only a few months old) iPad 4 is actually in the case, when it does pair the keys either don't work or work only for short period, my of the specific iPad function keys never work except the brightness keys. Another. Heap hack from China maybe (?), but to recieved an unbranded generic product when the advertised product is a Cooper Case (TM) is taking the proverbial poopoo out of people ! So looks like I'll be sending this back tomorrow along with another electronic product I bought that was also produced in China ???? UPDATE: OK, it's now working. The problem was, I have a Vodafone Connect 5 Ghz router and it was somehow interfering with the key board, how, God knows seeing as the keyboard is blue tooth ????? But it connect great in the kitchen away from the router, tech eh ! Not sure how long this keyboard will last for it does seem a bit delicate but for now I'm happy with it now it actually works. Though the rest of my reviews stands e.g. box was open and product was not branded as the photo shows.....

The product I bought said that it was new. This one has signs of usage. My iPad fits nicely and it connects so I am able to use the keyboard. Another down side is that since it is plastic instead of metal the iPad makes it top heavy to the base closest to you does not sit flush with the table.Looks like I am back at the drawing board for finding a better one.

Ok, it works kinda. it fits the ipad well and it does provide clamshell like protection. I have had mine for a month or more. It doesn't connect immediately to the ipad. It takes two or three clicks to get the connection up and working. then it works fairly consistently. occasionally it drops off a capital letter but that could just be my typing. The biggest complaint that I have is that the finish is now wearing off at the edge of the keyboard and it leaves a line across the screen where the plastic from the cover reacts with the glass screen (about 1" into the screen on the long side.). It comes off with glass cleaner but I shouldn't have to bother with it. I wouldn't recommend it to friends.
