This unique “clam style” case is, in a word, outstanding. The keyboard/cover combination was obviously designed with a well-thought intent and adapted into in it’s existing overall design. Having gone through quite a number of other keyboard/case combinations previously, I found it daunting to find one that would meet even the simplest of expectations. I had done so much time-consuming research and purchases without many positive results. Once I found a company that brought good results; yet, they discontinued their product. So, I nearly gave up. Until I found this very this Cooper Kai Skel product. After reading all the comments, weighing facts, I decided to purchase this product. From it’s first use, this has EXCEEDED my expectations! I love the keyboard as I use the keyboard to effortlessly type, the higher quality and overall design of the cover/keyboard combo, I evrn love how it looks like my “mini” MacBook Pro (which is very minor compared to the amazing way the entire cover has been along with the obvious quality of the keyboard buttons, etc) the charge lasts a long time, the Bluetooth connection is never an issue with me as of yet. When I do not use it for a while, it will of course, disconnect itself from Bluetooth; but, it merely takes a moment to quickly reconnect the keyboard. So, I’m going to praise this particular keyboard and hope to continue to enjoy a long history of usage with the company producing them. If you have a need for a keyboard, this is the one you need!

I just received this so I am reserving the right to change my review at a later date. That being said, I have to say I was impressed when I took it out of the box. First of all, I have had a difficult time finding a case for my Ipad. I got it used. It is an Ipad with Retina Display and being an older model and apparently with slightly different dimensions than other Ipads I have seen many cases that wont fit. This one fits like it was built for my ipad. (It was...just making a joke there.) The clamshell design and silver color makes my ipad look like the worlds smallest macbook. It is definitely eye catching. My previous keyboard/case combo was more expensive and had major issues. The keyboard would skip three spaces between words, add extra commas and elipsis and would slam shut because the hinge was junk. This hinge holds the screen at any position up to 90 degrees. As long as you dont need to place the screen past that angle, its great. They keys on the keyboard are nice and crisp. The arrow keys have a bit of a strange click to them, but they work just fine The "shift" key on the right side of the keyboard is, unfortunately, smaller than I am used to. Since this is the one I use the most it may become an issue in the future but for now I can deal with it. One other very cool item, in my opinion, is the built in battery. Instead of carrying an extra battery every time I go somewhere, the keyboard has a battery built into it to charge my ipad. I have not used it as of yet so I do not know how much of a charge it holds but if it holds a good charge this will alleviate carrying extra batteries or the constant search for a power outlet. The ONLY drawback i have with this item is the fact that I can not use the ipad in portrait mode. At this point, I am fairly impressed with this item.

Feels very solid and well made. My only criticism is no sign on the keyboard. But other than that very happy.

ipad Screen wobbles while typing. Keys are super sticky. Case with iPad in it is super heavy, if you drop it once it will break/crack. The case itself is only worth $15, we pay all the extra money for the USB & charging port. I paid full price for a used product, damaged box & not everything came with the case.

I like the fact that it makes my iPad look like a mini laptop. I thought the lid would be metal like the bottom but it is in fact plastic. The bottom part with the keyboard and it is metal. I found that with my iPad in it the item is quite heavier than I expected. Perhaps because Im used to a leather cover with a later Belkin keypad I thought the lid would be metal like the bottom but it is in fact plastic. The bottom part with the keyboard and it is metal. I found that with my iPad in it the item is quite heavier than I expected. Perhaps because Im used to a leather cover with a later Belkin keypad? I like the fact that you can charge your iPad or phone from the case, but dont expect that you were going to get a huge charge out of it. My charge only lasted an hour before it died when my iPad was at 50%. They keys on the keyboard are a little bit stiff, but I expect that they will loosen up with use. Pros are that it looks good and seems fairly sturdy. Cons are that it doesnt give a great charge for your ipad for more than an hour or so, especially if you are also using the keyboard and it feels like it weighs about 7-10 lbs.
