I really wanted to like this product, since it seemed to solve a problem for me. I have an older 10-inch Windows tablet that needed a keyboard for occasional writing projects during travel. The universal fit case was a big plus, and the price seemed reasonable. Unfortunately, my unit has problems and I will be returning it to Amazon. The first of these is that I paid extra for the keyboard backlight function with "7 colors", and so far I can only find 3 of them. One is Blue, one is Red, and the third is Pink. They each have two brightness settings, so I suppose you could charitably call that "6 colors". No plain white to be found anywhere, and the backlight on my unit, in any color, is far too dark to be of practical use. Even worse, with a fully charged keyboard. my backlights begin to flicker and then shut off in about 90 seconds of typing. I can't tell if this is a feature or a defect, since the documentation supplied with the device is so poor and incomplete. I just know that I get about a minute and a half of backlight while actively typing, and then the light goes off and I can't get it back. Strike one. Next, the magnetic case closing clasp is flimsy, and I doubt it will last long. It wouldn't cost much for them to have made this part, which is used every single time the case is open, out of double thickness fake leather. Aside from that, the case looks good. The kickstand in the back, however, has no locking mechanism, is restricted to one shallow angle, and slips a lot, even on a flat surface such as a hotel room desk. You probably want to put something behind it to keep if from collapsing. I use my desk stapler or a coffee mug at home. Don't even think about trying to get it to work on your lap. Strike two. Pairing with my Windows tablet, which pairs perfectly and immediately with every other Bluetooth device I own, is slow and cumbersome. For some reason, in addition to showing the keyboard, when I try to connect, the device populates my tablet screen with five other devices, three of which say "Unknown" and it tries to connect to them as well, without success. This means it takes forever to get up and running. Strike three. Are there positives with this device? Yes. The keyboard itself is quite good. I am a touch typist and it only took me about a half day to adjust to the size. The keys are responsive and feel very much like a good laptop. I really am not much slower on this keyboard than I am on my primary desk machine. I also like that the keyboard is rechargeable. The magnetic arrangement that holds the keyboard in the case seems fine to me. So I'll give Cooper Cases a thumbs up for the keyboard part of this product. I will also say that the clips that secure the tablet into the case seem to work fine. Unfortunately, the upper right hand hook sits directly over the Power button on my tablet, but that is the nature of "universal" cases. I just have to pull this clip up a bit to turn my tablet on or off, not a deal breaker for me. Now a word about customer service. I have had the device for 48 hours, and have reached out to the company by phone, where I was greeted by a eerie computerized voice that did not identify the company, kept on hold for over 20 minutes, and then hung up on, while never being connected to a human. This was in the middle of the US business day. If this is how a company is going to handle their telephone customer service, why bother with a phone number at all? Then, I tried to use their "live chat" feature. Although a chat bot assured me that "they typically reply in a few minutes", I got no response to my chat for one hour, and gave up. Perhaps someone should check to see if the person or persons who staff their live chat are still alive. Again, this was not in off hours, but smack dab in the middle of the business day in the U.S. If they are in another country (probably China) and are on different hours, then their site should say so. I am still waiting for a reply to my email. The documentation supplied with the keyboard/case is a small two-sided piece of paper with print so small one can barely read it. Fortunately it is reproduced online in a way that it can be zoomed in on. But, the documentation is incomplete, such as not telling you that you may have to press "Function+C" for the keyboard to be discoverable to your tablet. It would be so simple to just write a better manual for this device, even if it was a bit larger. There is plenty of room for it in the box. Since I write manuals for a living, I may be a bit over-critical on this point. Finally, and this is not a criticism of the product per se, if you are intending to use this to turn your tablet into a laptop replacement, consider how much you will miss the touchpad function, which this model does not have. While this is a matter of personal work style, I found it to be a great hindrance to me. The company does offer a similar model with a touchpad, but without backlighting. Given how poor the backlight is on my unit, I intend to return mine, and purchase the one with a touchpad. If you are not coming from a laptop with a touchpad, this may not be a big issue for you. As I said, I really wanted to like this product. I am hopeful that the next one, with the touchpad, at the same price, will work out better.

Pro's - awesome Keyboard cannot go wrong with this keyboard Cons - the case itself the closure is flimsy weak and I hate it - the stand no options in the tilt level and it too is flimsy at best. There are 4 plastic wedges that you place your tablet into; my 10 inch tablet has slid out of these again not sturdy. It is a bulky case and there is no flap to go over the keyboard to keep the screen from being scratched; all I can say is thank goodness for gorilla glass which my tablet has on it. Because my Gorilla Glass is so scratched up. do yourselves a favor; spend and extra $40 and get a better case.

If you have the LG G Pad 5 10.1 FHD Tablet, don't even bother with this case/keyboard. The cornering just doesn't work to keep it in place and my tablet kept slipping out so I returned it.

It takes your notebook from being handy to being a hardy piece of equipment. Love the lighted keyboard. A very well thought out addition to my daily hardware. Thank you Cooper.
