“I bought this case to use on a Samsung Note 8.0, knowing it was not made for that model. I planned to alter the cut-outs myself. The alterations of cut outs were much more extensive than expected. The main problem was unanticipated. There is a significant difference in the physical dimensions of the two units, apparently in both the width and thickness. I eventually got my note 8.0 into the case, but only by the use of a dangerous (for the unit) amount of flexion and compression. The case itself would be excellent for the unit intended, and no criticism should be inferred. I intended not to write a review, due to the incompatible dimensions, but after repeated requests by the vendor, decided to do so solely to warn others not to get this version of this product for the Note 8.0. I have not asked for a refund or replacement, because there is a clear warning that the case will not fit any other model. It is a risk I took. I would say for the price I learned that this is an excellent design for people who fall asleep while reading, and wake up to broken eyeglasses and inoperable tablets. I have ordered a similar case from a different vendor, this one made for the Note 8.0. I had considered that one earlier, but rejected it because it was not available in black, only blue. I plan on painting it black, or having a seamstress make a cloth covering in black. Black better reflects my experience of life.”
