We bought this case to protect our iPad that our 3 year old uses. It is sturdy. It has held up to my son throwing down the iPad. He can’t get the case off which is a good thing for us. He must like that it has a handle because he carries it by the handle.

Great product. Came as described and can definitely protect from big falls and from kids.

This case is a TERRIBLE design...while they added in a place for the Apple Pencil to charge, they did it in such a way as to completely remove any protection on that edge of the case (i.e., the edge facing “down’ when holding it by the handle....and thus, the edge most likely to hit the ground when dropped). Did anyone even test these with an actual new iPad Pro 12.9 inside the case? The “protective foam” on that entire "bottom" edge of the case has been almost completely cut away to allow a spot for the Pencil charging....but they took away so much material that the structural integrity has gone from great (in their prior design, which I had on my old iPad) to basically zero along that edge (which happens to have most of the iPad buttons, and the delicate camera)! The small thin strip of foam left on that "bottom" edge (which is the only protection on that edge) is a actually "loose" and easily bendable/movable, and it does not protect the iPad at all on that edge (the other 3 edges are all fine, as they are the same general design as before...nice and solid with lots of protection). Even just resting the iPad with the “bottom” edge against your lap, or a desk top, that thin strip of foam just gets moved right out of the way, so that it’s actially the edge of the iPad itself resting on that edge, NOT the protective case. I can only imagine the extent of damage to the iPad that this would cause if dropped on a sidewalk while holding it by the handle (which I have done numerous time with my old case, without a problem...I wouldn’t trust my expensive iPad in this new case, as it’s simply too flimsy along the bottom edge). SOMEONE AT THE COMPANY NEEDS TO TEST THIS CASE WITH A REAL IPAD INSIDE (not just a dummy template) AND MAKE SIGNIFICANT CHANGES.... OR ELSE THEY WILL BE LIKELY BE FACING A LOT OF COMPLAINTS FROM UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS WITH BROKEN IPADS FROM CUSTOMERS WHO RELIED ON THEIR PROMISE OF PROTECTION. I do NOT recommend this case....it’s NOT better than nothing, because it installs a false sense of security/protection, which can lead to damage. (Note: I inadvertently previously posted this same review under the wrong Cooper Dynamo product...I am reviewing the most current version of this case case for the iPad Pro 12.9 (late 2018), but I mistakenly put this same review under the prior case version — ie, the design that actually worked, unlike this one — that was my mistake, and I apologize because that prior design was wonderful....the review is now correctly placed).
