“When I received this case it reminded me of my childhood at Christmas. I waited for so long for a fast new sled or a cool toy and couldn�t wait to open the festively decorated wrapping. But when I did open it I discovered yet another pair of sock knitted for me by my elderly aunt. Nice but not quite what I expected. The build-up to this case made it sound like the Tiffany of all leather cases. Their photography is exquisite and enticing, the attention to detail looked like perfection. Sure enough, when it arrived (and I want to make it clear that I bought and paid full price for this to have it sent by Mujjo directly from Denmark before they were available in the U.S.) the presentation was beautiful � a triple fold-out box that must have cost a lot. The case itself didn�t wow me as much as I thought it would. It doesn�t look, feel or smell like leather and doesn�t look any different from some of the other premium leather smartphone cases I own. The cutouts are a little rougher and less precise than I thought they would be and the plastic shell that the leather is bonded to seems just a little flimsy, like it would protect against minor scratches but wouldn�t do much to survive a fall. The leather covers the physical operating buttons as I expected, which is not really my first choice of design but if it is done well the click feeling is still there. I would say they have this about 90% right but I have felt cases that have a better button feel. There is a slight ridge (or lip) around the phone screen but when I lay my phone down on a flat surface the screen does touch, in other words the lip isn�t high enough to protect it from getting scratched if the phone is laid face down. The opening for the rear camera does not have any lip that extends out to protect the lens. What could have been described just a little clearer by them is that the bottom of the case does not have precision cutouts for each speaker hole as some cases do, instead the entire bottom is just one big opening. There are pros and cons to that � the pros are that there is nothing to interfere with using any size or brand of lightning connector and there is nothing to block the sound from the speakers or the signal from the new bottom antenna on this year�s Xs models. The con is that that entire area of your phone is susceptible to dirt and damage. And unfortunately the large gaping space means there is less case are to clamp on to the phone making for a less secure fit and an increased possibility of the phone falling out of the case. I expected the fit to be perfect but in reality the case is fractionally too big, when I squeeze the sides there is a tiny bit of �give� that wouldn�t be there if design was absolutely perfect On the other hand, In everyday use there is a benefit to the open bottom that cases for other smartphones aren�t concerned with, which is that when you use your finger to swipe up to unlock your phone it doesn�t catch on the bottom lip of the case because there is no case lip at the bottom front.. That�s hard to describe but in real life use it makes the act of unlocking your phone just a little more fluid and natural. This case is very non-slip, which is why I bought a real leather case. It adds almost no weight and almost no bulk to the size of the phone (important with a phone as large and heavy as the Xs MAX) and my phone easily slips into the same car mount and other holders as it did without a case and is still fully usable with wireless chargers. The leather is supposed to wear over time. I�ve had good luck with other premium brands of leather cases and I have hopes that this one will continue looking good and provide a reasonable life span. It should for what it costs. I�ll update this if anything changes.”

“The product finish is more suede than leather but the case arrived in a well-presented box with a nice finish. However, after only one week's use, the edges have discoloured. Definitely not worth the money.”
