“For starters the River gun I opted for in the kit broke apart on the first rivet. I luckily found the one I bout a few years back. The actual lifts themselves seemed to be of poor quality. I shut the hood and after opening it the graphite looking covers slid to the bottom of the lifts. I had to slide them back over. Every time I shut the hood after the rubber piece at the bottom kept sliding to the bottom of the lift. I eventually used electrical tape to secure the rubber end piece to the tube that slide down.”

The struts itself is sturdy and lifts the heavy hood no problem.
