“Product seems to be high quality. Instructions are straight forward. Install was a breeze but come to find out the passenger side hood strut does not close properly with the Injen intake box. What a bummer wish I would’ve known earlier but regardless great product!”

“So the struts are working great. Instructions are super easy to follow and if you still aren't sure, TacomaBeast has a video on installation you can reference.
There's the option to purchase the included rivet gun which I did because I did not have one. So I put my first rivet in clamped it down and it worked just fine. I moved on to my second rivet and before even halfway of crimping the rivet the tool broke. The little cheap pin that creates the lever action that lifts the teeth to pull the rivet and eventually snap It off, that thing broke. And it also bent the frame of the tool a little bit I tried sticking a bolt through but it just was no lifting action luckily I was able to pull the tool off the rivet.
So I had to go to home Depot get an actual rivet gun that worked and completed the install. So again the struts are great instructions are easy the video the company's the installation is great to reference if needed I would just save yourself $20 and put that $20 towards a better quality tool.”
“I am giving this a 4 star because the quality of Rivet's provided. Go buy your own prior to install. The ones in the kit snapped in half while installing (Broke the shaft instead of popping at the base of the rivet). Went and purchased a new rivet gun because I thought it was the provided gun. Turns out it was the rivets themselves. I had to grind off the broken rivets and restart with better quality rivets purchased at home depot.
The second part of this has no effect on my review just a heads up to future purchasers. THIS DOES NOT FIT ON THE PASSANGER SIDE WITH THE INJEN INTAKE! I have one side set up currently and it works still, but you cannot have a strut on both sides with the Injen intake.”
