“Order this skid plate as bare metal. Upon arrival, I was very pleased at the quality of the welds and design of the skid plate. I sanded the unit, cleaned it with acetone, then sprayed with two coats of primer followed by two coats matte black paint. Cost me two cans of spray paint. End product looked great and fitting the unit was no issue, even for a retired old man doing it by myself with the assistance of a floor jack. Very happy with the unit, it mounts very securely and I expect years of protection from it. As one of the less expenses fuel tank skids plates, I am very please with the bang for the buck.”
