“Recently purchased this radio to install on my 2017 manual Tacoma. It is a great radio and I am really enjoying the upgrade. Super easy to install when following the instructions/video. The only issue I had was with getting the backup camera to come on when I placed it into reverse. The automatic and manual transmissions trigger the backup camera differently. In the notes above it stated that you have to slice a wire for the manual but doesn't state which one in the video or instructions for the manual transmission.
On the manual transmission tacoma you have to splice the purple and white wire on the new radio harness and splice it to the #2 wire on the 28 pin connector on the truck side. The wire is a grayish green. This was for a 2017 tacoma. You can check for the correct wire on the truck side by having the
28 pin connector disconnect from the radio and placing the truck in reverse when the key is in ACC. The wire will have power to it when placed in reverse and no power when you taken out of reverse.”
“Nice unit but for the price ($1,600 all together) it really should include a compatible Sirius XM receiver and the navigation SD card and anything else pertaining to a feature. It says “SX ready” which really means be ready to buy more stuff. The existing Toyota Sirius receiver won’t work with this. Be sure to read all fine print.”

My wife tells me she can now hear me better when we are on Bluetooth and I love how this kit works with my OEM Audio + sound system. My interior is complete.”
