“This course has made the path clearer for me to help my daughter, and my entire family. All the information is so valuable, I am grateful to have found this course. Very easy to follow when you feel like you don't have time.”
“I love everything about the Taking Cara Babies materials. The straightforward and easy-to-understand delivery and the bite-size videos made a daunting task (sleep training) feel manageable. And after using the 5-24 Month materials following the 3-4 Month materials, sleep training took just a few days to work and a week to fully solidify our baby’s sleep. It truly works!!
But more than anything, I appreciated Cara’s positive perspective and loving approach—not just to sleep training, but to parenting generally. I often reflect on Cara’s guidance related to parenting generally, not just sleep, because I truly feel like her guidance encourages me to be a better, well-rounded, joy-filled parent. Our baby is the happiest, most well-rested baby on the block; and when we encounter bumps in the road or unexpected setbacks, Cara provided guidance on that as well!”
“Cara’s program saved us. I was so nervous and hesitant to try it because, as a new mom, I was distraught at the thought and feeling of letting my 5.5 month old baby cry. However, my husband and I were desperate for sleep after getting up every hour to 2 hours every night. We were also concerned for her wellbeing, as not getting more than 2 hours of consecutive sleep was making her very irritable and not herself. We decided as a team to take the chance, made a plan to help eachother through it, and did it. After one week, we were getting 5 hour stretches of consecutive sleep and our baby was putting herself to sleep. After 3 weeks, she was sleeping through the night. I’m beyond thankful we powered through the course. Cara’s videos made us feel at ease and answered all of our questions and concerns. I’ve recommended this to anyone who has ears. Cara is incredible!”
“We started the training when he was 12 months and after 3 days he was sleeping the entire night. This lasted a full month, it felt like heaven. Now he started daycare and he is staring to struggle ( not as much) but he is waking up around 3 am and sometimes it takes 5 min for him to fall asleep and others I need to pop in several times (5,10,15). I know that is due to the new change. I will stay focus on the training. I fully trust this training and I recommend it to everyone.”
“Sets a good foundation but when it comes to it there are specific things the program doesn’t account for. What are nap training specifics for a 15 mo on 2 naps? Also the wake windows provided by Cara are different than what team members tell me. You shouldn’t nurse your baby too soon upon them waking.
There are many things that weren’t mentioned in the course and I only found out after many emails and 2 paid phone calls with sleep consultants.
We tried this program once when our son was 7 months. It was great for getting him to sleep through the night but he had consistent early morning wakings and nothing was helping. We gave up after 3 months of trying and about 4 months after that we tried sleep training again. It went well but he still doesn’t have naps down and am having a hard time reaching the team (I haven’t even received an auto reply yet)”
“As a child psychologist, I thought I was well equipped to tackle sleep and sleep routines. However I soon realized that there was a lot I didn’t know about the foundations of good infant sleep. There are a lot of methods and programs out there but this one was so comprehensive and had an answer to so many of my questions and “what ifs” or “what abouts” that came up along the way. Most importantly, it is based in the science of infant sleep and healthy development! I learned so many skills that I believe will allow me to support my baby’s sleep for many years to come. We achieved 11 hour nights after only 1 night (with only 26 minutes of crying all together over the course of the night, using the modified interventions - picking up for 20 seconds during 5, 7, and 10 min pop ins). Never did I feel my baby was in distress or unsupported. Because I had laid the foundation of good sleep using this program and the newborn class, sleep training was easy and we have a great independent sleeper!!”
