“have been getting intermittent alarms which clear themselves, this is my second Rheem of which the first one continued to get a 13 alarm so needless to say I m concerned, also is there a reputable service company in my are in case i need it”
Hello Al, Your order is from July 2018, so your unit is of course fully under warranty. I would encourage you to contact Rheem technical support at 1-800-432-8373, and get whatever is causing the intermittent alarms fixed or resolved.
“I had a Paloma heater (made by Rheem) and a second Rheem unit for years. The Paloma finally gave up after 13 years of service (controller issue). So I bought a new Rheem to replace it. Great product, good control (better than the Paloma at lower flows). My only issue is the price of the ducting. Crazy that you have to spend $200 on about 4' of duct.”
