Our standard grade gaffers tape is a polyethylene coated cloth laminated tape, with a low gloss finish film coated with a Natural Rubber adhesive great for all purpose use. A 76 mesh high quality, low gloss finish, polyethylene-coated cloth tape with a natural rubber adhesive. Tape is wound on a 3” neutral core. This unique product with its low light reflectivity makes this product suitable for entertainment type applications where minimal visibility is required. FEATURES/BENEFITS:
Specially formulated adhesive allows for clean removal on most surfaces (surface type and dwell time may affect performance).
Conforms well to irregular surfaces and will not twist or curl during application. Excellent water and abrasion resistance. Tape is hand-tearable (no cutting tools required). Polyethylene coating makes for superior durability.
APPLICATIONS:
Used in the entertainment industry (concerts, tradeshows, etc.) for laying cables, wires, joining and building background props, and for marking placements on stage (i.e. “spike” tape). Suitable as a book binding tape for seaming and edge reinforcement. Due to the printable surface of the tape, it is used to mark/seal film “cans”, storage boxes, etc.

hello@tapejungle.com

For the price this is an ok product, it’s more of a cross between gaff tape and duct tape as far as the outside finish goes. Because of this it’s a bit harder to tear than gaff brand and it is a bit stiffer. The adhesion was almost neck and neck with gaff brand and yes I did a side by side test with this and gaff brand.

Hi Stephen, Thank you for your feedback. The Standard Grade has a polyethylene coated finish making it more durable and sturdier but we also offer Premium Cloth Gaffer which might work better for your application: https://www.tapejungle.com/products/premium-cloth-gaffers-tape-67665.html If you would like to exchange or return any of the Standard just let us know how we can help via support@tapejungle.com or 877.284.4781. Best regards Chris K.

The gaffer tape is wrapped individually which comes in handy when storing. That which is not wrapped tend to stick to each other after awhile and takes some effort to separate them. Thank you for doing that. It makes my job easier. :)

It leaves residue a lot of the times on the floor, I didn't thinks Gaffers tape was suppose to do that?

We are using this tape for decorating during VBS at in our church building each year. Last year we used it to "lay" train train all around the entire building. The main reason for choosing this tape was to avoid leaving any tape residue that would cause dirt to attract and stick to it. Success! There was absolutely no evidence that the tape was ever on the carpet or tile. It left no residue whatsoever! This year we will be using it to create the look of large hinges for our castle doors (wooden classroom doors) and chose it for the same reason. No residue left behind. No damage to the wood. Love this tape!
