“There is a major design flaw with this flashlight. The light on/off is a toggle button, this isnt smart as when one has it in a back pack or duffle, other items can hit or jostle the sensitive toggle button to turn on. Then you open your bag you see the flashlight has been on for hours. A simple slide switch like other similar devices I own, prevents this.”
“Haven't had to deploy the shock vs any people or animals, but my goofy son wanted to feel it so he did ONCE and I doubt he will ever do that again lol. The noise of it alone scares the crap out of my two big Rotties so when they start pulling simultaneously it is a quick slide of the button and pull of the trigger (a one handed and near-instant affair btw) and they freeze in their tracks and look at me/it to see if they are in trouble lol. Easiest way ever to derail the dual locomotive tugging game before it gets dangerous. I would add that the reason I bought it was to protect them in case a dangerous dog was on the loose (they are still puppies) but I have been doing some reading and from what I have read this thing would likely not stop a determined pit bulldog so I still carry a knife too. The light is the bomb regardless. I thought about the previous version as it looked more useful as a defensive weapon due to the design but I am glad I did not get that one now. Bigger and bulkier and likely not as powerful a jolt. Like a subcompact, it may be smaller but if you'll actually carry it vs a bulkier implement, then it is there when you need it."Small" better than "none," and in the case of this device it is likely better for 99% of the users than the black baton looking previous version.”

“Very solid and sturdy build quality which I expected from TASER and I like that it has a good flashlight with 3 modes (dim red, low, and high) the look of the thing is nice and futuristic and not very threatening while just using it as a flashlight (could be a positive or a negative to you) but I want to be able to use it as a flashlight most of the time so i'm glad it doesn't make me look like a psycho with a weapon. It is pretty big and fairly heavy so it would be hard to put it in a jeans pocket unless it was baggy, and in a jacket pocket it will weigh it down a bit, depending on if your jacket is zipped closed or open and all that. I think if you had it in a windbreaker pocket and it was unzipped and you were walking it would be too heavy for that and swing around and be annoying. USB type C charging is great, and it has nice battery indicators.”
