So bought this for safe protection; turns out; not able to remove the battery cover or the green tape and needs to be remove before use, do I emailed the seller with a few questions which needed answers before I want to start using it / bring it with me outside ) did not get a response. This seller / brand just want you to get their product then that's it, NO after sales for any kind of help?!?!?! Would NOT recommend. Because of the quantity and NO service ( btw; it's about $500.00 ).

I purchased this taser for my daughter who is off at college. She is able to conceal in her purse and feels safe having it if she ever needs to use it.

The bolt 2 is bulkier and and much more ergonomically awkward than the original bolt model. Unlike The original model, it doesn't work well for a pocket carry. I don't know why they discontinued that one. The design has many undesirable aspects. The front cover falls off onto the ground when you want to use it. It only comes in a very bright white color. The company is not set up to receive any phone inquiries. I had a number of questions prior to purchasing it, but the only option was to send in an email with the questions written out. And it took days to receive a response. The response didn't really cover my questions. I wasn't really satisfied with the device or with the company..

I love this. It is clearly visibly not a gun, it is easy to get out and it is easy to use. However, you should also carry arm/leg zip ties (like handcuffs made out of plastic) so that when you do immobilize someone you can detain them, especially if you cannot run that fast. 30 seconds is quick. That said, I would do it at your own risk since I have no idea how a person reacts under a taser, ie thrashing around, and then you just waste valuable time trying to zip them up. But, they say you can taser a 2nd time, from what I understand.

Had a run-in with a homeless guy yesterday. Presented the taser and he ran away. Didn't even need to pop it. It seems like the taser logo was enough to scare him off.

As stated, I haven't had to use the Taser Bolt 2 yet, but having this effective means of self defense helps me feel less fearful going outside, shopping, walking. I'm 76, can't run, not able to fight back. Also if I were present when a shooter threatened a public place, I might be able to immobilize them for the 30 seconds it would take to secure the person and their weapon.BTW… the Taser weighs 8.4 ounces.Shipping weight is 1.08 kg/2 pounds.
