“Ordered a strikekight 2 off the main website. was sent a strikelight 2 that was packed with shredded paper and surprisingly (not), it was defective. On the RMA instructions, it tells me to pack the product properly (without shredded paper or peanuts). Is this a joke? You don't even bother to follow your own packing advice. Now the RMA status doesn't even show up as in progress. 0/5.”

“The StrikeLight 2 fits well in my hand and the design makes it easy to distinguish between the flashlight switch and the activation switch. The confidence I now have to defend myself on my nightly walks makes them that more enjoyable.”
Hi there,
Thank you for this excellent review! Our teams are constantly working to improve our devices - function & design. We're thrilled to hear that you're happy with your StrikeLight 2, and the confidence it brings you!
Have a great day, and stay safe!
“I bought this as a personal safety device while riding on a bike trail at night. I had it with me and a curious friend tried it on himself, and he hardly had a reaction. He said it did hurt, but it wouldn't stop someone from coming for you. I feel like I wasted my money. I should have done more research before buying! Pros: It is easy to use and the bright flashlight setting is very bright.”
“Good flashlight, great taser. It has however 1 design flaw. This "flashlight" will live for the majority of its life in my centre console among other items and the light switch is super easy to engage. Anything touches it and the light goes on and without you knowing it, will drain the battery. And when the day comes when you really need it...it's empty. It should include a Kydex holster or something that prevents the light switch from inadvertently getting depressed. Or the light switch should have been a slider instead of a pushbutton. My 2cents....”
“You won't know your new taser doesn't work until you need it. You'll may find out your less than a year old taser doesn't work exactly when you need it most. Mine completely stopped working even though I had a green light on the charger. What's worse is I only tested the taser function a single time to assess its power. I used the flashlight feature only a handful of times. Honestly living in the suburbs, it was really just too heavy to take on neighborhood dog walks. But I kept it charged up periodically for the occasional road trip. I had no idea it had completely stopped working less than a year old. Good thing I never needed it.Then I inherited a country house complete with coyotes and often take my dog out at night. That's when I found out it didn't work.I find it unacceptable that a device that cost me $100 that was never really used, is now nothing more than a worthless hunk of metal.I am also concerned about the safety implications of a product that can malfunction so easily. If someone were to rely on the taser function and it failed to work, it could have serious consequences. For me carrying it just as a “mini clubâ€, it is actually dangerous to rely on the taser function not working as it could unexpectedly spring to life and cause harm to me just when I am already in harm's way.But I don't need a mini club. I want a protective warning device. Because a hunk of firewood that costs zero is better if you have to get in an actual fistfight with a coyote.I requested a replacement unit. They discontinued the original Strikelight right after I bought it. I have no confidence in this unit. It won't work but since the battery shows as charged, I also have no confidence that it might not unexpectedly spring to life in the worst of circumstances and hurt me.Taser told me to go buy a new battery.Good luck depending on this.”
