About Tea Life:

Hello! My name's Toby and while I've always been a tea lover, I never really thought about the benefits and healing powers of herbal tea before a certain time in my life where I was going through some stress and anxiety.
This is a short story about my tea life.

I came across Valerian root tea and noticed one of the benefits listed was 'helping stress and anxiety' so I thought why not? It actually did help, and became my first go to solution for when I was feeling stressed.

Since then I have had to go back to that single shop to order it, as it's difficult to find. Sometimes it was sold out, sometimes I was too busy to make the trip, but overall I was just thinking 'why isn't this awesome drink more readily available'?

So I decided to do something about that. I researched the benefits of other herbal tea, as I was curious to see what else was out there and was astonished to learn just how useful and powerful they are. Over time, I realised they really are natures medicine.

This website has been designed to educate, and provide easy access across Australia to a huge range of Organic Herbal tea, free of pesticides and other impurities.

Apart from herbal tea, I have also stocked the best chai, exotic, and other health related blends I could find within Australia. If it's fresh, interesting and tastes great - I'll get it in.

Feel free to contact me at any time with any questions or feedback you may have. I'd love to hear from you.

This tea is a great sedative and gets you to sleep instantly. The taste is a bit challenging, so I disguise mine with a Hibiscus Flower (also bought from Tea Life and absolutely delicious), but don't leave the dregs out overnight coz your house will smell like wet dog in the morning!

I have received my first order from the tea life! I was worried that this tea may taste bad and I wouldn't be able to drink it, however it was fine. I actually enjoyed it so maybe I have weird taste buds! Valerian tea was not the only tea I purchased and I'm excited to try the rest! But I will say this, my husband has banned the tea to be stored in our garage as apparently it smells like foot :'D I keep sniffing the packet and I guess it kinda dose smell bad, but it tastes more than palatable I popped some honey in it to see how that went and again taste was great. 2 thumbs up :)

Hi Amanda, despite the warnings on our description page - it still sells very well here. I think it's more of a blue cheese kind of thing where some people will like it and some won't. Even if you dont, you'll probably get used to it after awhile anyway. Many use honey with it too also. Personally I'm fine with the taste and smell now, but that's probably because I've been exposed to it so much :)

This tea works wonders! I suffer anxiety and insomnia and within half an hour of drinking this tea I felt my whole body become relaxed and I was ready for sleep. I have recently come of sleeping tablets and have been having terrible nights sleeps for weeks. Also expected a bad taste but I enjoyed. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to try during day when anxiety levels are high

Excellent tea, certainly does the trick to help relax and sleep. The scent is quite unique, I would say. Once past that, it's all good!

Thanks Daniel - adding honey can also help too. We'll be improving labels in the future!

I've had issues with panic attacks and have recently started getting sporadic nocturnal panic attacks. I've used night time blends, which have included the usual suspects - lavender, vervain, scullcap, etc. - but they have never been as effective as valerian root. Yes, the smell and taste is quite strong, but I honestly don't find it too strong and actually quite enjoy the taste. I've definitely noticed that I have slept more soundly, haven't had a nocturnal panic attack once and even if I wake up in the night I find it very easy to go straight back to sleep. Two well-rested thumbs up.
