Thompson's Irish Breakfast 80 Tea Bags Reviews

4.9 Rating 113 Reviews
A malty undertone is what I first noticed, it pairs nicely with my nut milks and Hemp milk. I also use a bit of grass fed organic milk. (My other Irish Tea seams to have an ever so slightly stronger flavor [more robust] as well as a stronger tea bag.) My second cup ended up being loose as when I grabbed a bag, it caught the corner & ripped open. I love trying different teas (I have enough to serve 50 people a different type) so I'll be back to try another from TeaDog eventually;) All in all it's a very tasty tea. Thanks, Ginger

I'm a Thompson with 4-5 centuries of roots in Ulster. I'm so glad I discovered the Thompson Family Teas from Belfast. Irish Breakfast is my favorite. I like that they incorporate the fine black teas from the Highland Estates of Kenya and Rwanda and blend them with Assam from the Himalayas. It makes for a delicious cup of tea. Thompson's is my #1 Brand, followed by Barry's Teas, who also use the African teas in their blend. Non of the English Tea companies use African teas at all. I first discovered these teas teaching school in Katanga Province, DRC Congo.

Not only is Thompson Family Irish Tea our favorite, but so is Teadog! The Irish Tea is so good we quit drinking coffee. For us, steep 7 minutes and sweeten with agave. Yum! And Teadog is fabulous, great website, easy to maneuver, great sales and prompt service. Thank you Teadog and Thompson Family Teas. Great combo and I recommend them both and often.

I love tea and this has been my favorite for many years. You get two cups out of every bag. Highly recommend.

Generally not a fan of breakfast teas, but this was the only tea choice I had at my hotel in Ulster so I brewed it up. WOW--obviously, I've been drinking the wrong breakfast tea my whole life! This is rich, smooth, and subtly perky. Plain or with milk and sugar, hot or cold, it's something I look forward to all day long. I'm so glad that I can order it in the States, but I'd happily make a trip to Ireland if I needed to! : )

I have used both Thompson's Scottish and Irish tea and they are both equally good

This is an excellent tea, one of my favorites. It has a rich full flavor without being too malty or too bitter. I guess the blend of teas they use is just well-balanced. Each teabag contains a generous amount of tea which makes up to 12oz of strong brewed tea (probably more if you like it lighter.) Another thing I like about this tea is that even if you over-brew it a little it does not get bitter.
