“This was a surprise birthday celebration for my boyfriend and truly it was more than I could have hoped for! From the very first contact with Heidi I knew we were in good hands. She had a list of activities we could do in neighboring towns or ideas to keep up entertained if we wanted to just stay at the camp site.
It seems mid July is the perfect time for blueberry and lavender picking so we were just a few weeks early but nevertheless we were Able to fill our time. I highly recommend the dinner cruise in Sunapee book ahead the slots fill up quickly!
Heidi was so amazing at this birthday surprise. Every time we left camp she would put the fire on and restock items at camp. She had absolutely everything we could possibly need at the site. The cake and decorations she left for us on the day of his birthday was truly heartwarming she went so above and beyond to make this trip so wonderful and memorable for us.
all of the animals and farm fresh produce and fresh flowers were some of our favorite parts.
Heidi and her family were so welcoming we truly felt like we were at home. And the neighboring towns we went to the petiole were so kind and friendly. We didn’t feel like tourists on a basic trip we felt like we were at home or welcomed new comers. Truly a great weekend away from the big city. 10/10 recommend and truly hope we get to go again!”

“This was my second visit to Fireflies and a Love Story. And again, it didn’t disappoint! Barbara, Heidi Jo and Shane are the perfect hosts. Heidi Jo’s attention to detail is amazing; from fresh eggs, to lemon water in the tent, fresh flowers at every turn, a s’mores package, pancake mix with syrup, a variety of teas, coffee and accoutrements. The list goes on and on! Her goal is to improve the site each year—this years improvement (which was under construction during my visit) is a new “loo”/ outdoor shower. I cannot say enough positive things about the site and the hosts—you will not be disappointed when you stay. I will certainly return…again!❤️”
“You won't need anything, but your food:) From our first contact by phone, until we were driving away we were treated like friends of the family, which was a good thing as our battery in our truck died and Heidi drove my hubby right into town for a new battery and brought him back to the site. Now the Tentrr site is another story, from the first view of the beautiful sparkling meadow, to the entrance into the tent and I say "tent" lightly as it was more of an oasis that could have been pictured on the front of an English romance novel, from the special Teas & coffee incl: teapots/cups. honey, cream, cookies, smores and insta pancakes to the incredible linens, pillows, books, ice cold lemon water & mason jar drinking cups we were amazed. Once out side there was a huge potty tent, with oriental carpeting on the floor, a hot solar shower and clothesline. Nothing at all needed for cooking the had it all, pots/pans, a grill with charcoal, plates/untens7il and another large container of fresh water, even a screened porch. We had 3 dogs and they had a blast running and hopping (2 little ones:) thru the meadow and on the walking paths. Be sure to stay up for the show the stars put on after all of the fireflies go to sleep:) Don't hesitate to book...ENJOY!”
“I camped at Fireflies and a Love Story with my husband and four small children under eight. Despite it being a rainy weekend and having a family emergency, two things determined to ruin a trip, we had the most unforgettable and positive experience. Heidi and her mother were welcoming, kind, helpful and attentive hosts. I have never stayed at a place, from hotels all over the world to countless campsites and hostels, that had such personalized attention to detail. From a little table with seasonal decor and place settings for my kids to eat to freshly washed and delivered toys, homemade bread and a ready-to-go s'mores setup, comfy clean-smelling blankets and already-stacked wood, I can't say enough about this visit and we will most certainly go back. It is hard to pick a highlight with so many wonderful details, but getting to hold and name newborn lambs and take a wagon ride through the beautiful fields and forest are certainly things we will remember forever. The secluded spot felt like our own little stretch of paradise!!”
“We LOVED our time here! This was our first tentrr experience, and we had our 3 and 1 year old with us. Heidi was wonderful at communicating both prior to our trip and during our stay. My littles loves exploring the farm-they ran around the field, “hiked” up the hills, fed the sheep and chickens and snuggled with us by the fire. The hosts accommodated us having children, even setting up an extra bed and pack n play for us so we could all fit. The space was lovely, quiet and safe and we can’t wait to go back! Ps if your kids sleep to white noise (like ours) and you went to tent camp, buy a Milwaukee fan with battery, or marpac dohm battery sound machine, both are priceless!”
“Communication was excellent from the beginning! Our host told us what to expect upon arrival & advised us about the free roam chickens & sheep! My fiance has a service dog so we were prepared to have her on a leash upon arrival. The farm sits on it's very own dirt road. What an excellent experience! The site is very far away from the farm house & stocked with everything you could possibly need! Everything was perfect! Thank you for making my first camping experience a beautiful one! My fiance & I were looking for a lil time away from the city. Our host Heide was an absolute doll from the very first phone call. We definitely overpacked for our trip. The site was very well equipped with cooking utensils, plates, silverware & even spices & seasonings. There was a giant water cooler with fresh lemon water in our tent. She has an entire smores set up with skewers. The property is absolutely gorgeous and worth exploring. We loved it & Heide so much we are planning to host our wedding here in the spring!! Next time we'll be sure to pack less & stay longer!”
