Almost immediately upon arrival, we saw a magnificent blue heron take flight (thanks to Judith for pointing him out) and enjoyed watching Chris fire up his old Ford tractor which he used to cart our bags from the car to the camp site.
The tent was just as pleasant as pictured and sturdy too - it withstood the constant zipping/unzipping of our toddler and kept us dry through the intermittent rain. Fresh sheets, ample firewood, and drinking water were provided as well as little extras like bedside lanterns and binoculars.
In addition to these provisions, Lothlorien also has a lovely pond which can be explored via row boat or floating dock or passively enjoyed from the swings and hammocks. Further enhancing the experience are apple trees and fire pits on the property. Not to mention the personal attention of our camp keepers who made themselves available to us from the time of booking through our stay. Thanks, Chris and Judith :)
