“I am my family spent 2 beautiful days in Kerhonkson New York. The campsite and experience was everything we hoped for and more. Getting that 1st campfire started was a beautiful thing. Not as hard as you might think...just remember to start with kindle & put away your Kindle so you can enjoy time away from technology....although Iphone works up there for communication.
Our Camp Keeper Chris made sure we had things we needed such as fire wood, water access, and utensils. He also provided us with great information about places to head to in Minnewska State Park >http://nysparks.com/parks/127/details.aspx ** An amazing place that has many layers to explore. Found a trail with a water area and small waterfalls which was great for a natural dip and cool off. Wow. Chris also gave us a tip for horseback riding. We called Flying Change Farm and was happy with a 1 1/2 hour excellent lesson on how to care for your horse and riding lessons. Kristen at flying change http://www.flyingchangefarmllc.com/home.html did a great job showing my son how to communicate and care for his horse Java while actually grooming Java. What a beautiful time we had.
I my wife and son had never camped before and this was a great way for a first time camping experience. We will surely be back again. Returning to earth, nature, and your own self- sustaining instincts is refreshing and regenerating. Happy camping !”
“Beautiful setting and Chris and co were Beyond kind and helpful. My young daughter and I had an delightful intro to camping for her, tons of fun hiking and swimming nearby and in her words as she sat in a boat on the pond surrounded by lily pads and frogs chirping "this is so peaceful".
The tenter setup is everything you need and more and makes it effortless. Chris's extra touches are perfect.
