“We had a fantastic time at the Skipping Rock campground! It was a lovely spot and James and Lynn have done a great job of stocking it with everything you might need (including tubes for floating in the river, which we especially enjoyed doing). Would definitely recommend!”
“Great location, wonderful hosts! Nice shady campsite with easy access to the river for swimming, fishing or paddling. Hosts were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable .”
“Perfect trip site for our family of 5 (kids ages are 11, 7,4). Very clean, river access, and gradual enough for children. We will be back for sure. We had a blast floating the river as well.”
“Terrific campsite and hosts. The campsite is located in a beautiful and private location within a 500-acre farm alongside the Middle River. The campsite is extremely well stocked with everything you need (except food). A great swimming hole in the summer. Only negative - no fish (the otter's got them)! Highly recommend.”
“We loved it! This campsite is extremely well positioned in a beautiful location within a farm on the edge of the Middle River. The hosts are very hospitable and have equipped the campsite with everything you need to be comfortable. My wife and I stayed in the main platform tent, while our children stayed in the large (6-person) dome/cabin tent that also comes with the booking. We went swimming (there's a great rope swing), kayaking and fishing (no luck - apparently the otters have wiped out the fish population) in the river. The campsite exceeded our expectations in every way ... you will not be disappointed.”
“Beautiful site with amazing walk-up-to creek. Hosts were great and the place is perfect for a family with kids. We had our 5, 8, and 11 yo with us. Everyone had an absolute blast and we had friends stay at the other site ~200 yards away. Perfect to be solo or co-reserve with another family staying at the other site.”
“Jim and Lynn were very kind and gracious to host us for a weekend on their beautiful property. The site (1 of 2) on the beautiful property is in a very secluded corner of a working dairy farm that you're free to walk around. The site itself sits at the edge of a bend in the river that looks like it would be a nice swimming hole in the summer. The wood burning stove in the tent kept us warm during 40 degree nights and dry during a storm. We probably over packed but the site had everything you could possibly need (just bring your own food and beer). There was even a cornhole set and a a box of board games/cards. It was the perfect getaway to recharge our batteries, well be back next year!”
