“We had a wonder stay at Skipping Rock. In front of the tent is a great view of the creek that our dog thoroughly enjoyed jumping around in. Right behind the tent is an awesome open field we could throw the ball around and let the dog run around. The campsite was very private and well maintained and tidy. There was a lot of nice amenities we were not expecting like a small propane burner stove that made coffee and eggs very easy in the morning. James the owner stopped in to check on us on day 1 and was very attentive to us. Great visit , very relaxing!”
“Beautiful site on Jame’s family farm! There is a river that runs right behind the site which is amazing to wake up too! Also so much to do in the area between hiking, wineries, breweries, mountain biking, and more. Will 100% be back to this site! James and his family take great care of the sites and make sure you have everything you need. They were extremely kind.”

“Amazing, just as everyone said! Took the recommendation and booked both Honeysuckle and Skipping Rock. Floated down on tubes and kayaks from Honeysuckle to Skipping Rock. As previous review said...it was cold, but doable. A lot of firsts for our family with catching crayfish, water bugs, etc. Gorgeous stargazing! Be prepared.... although people refer to it as glamping, it consists of an outdoor shower bag and glamping loo (wood toilet box with bucket and loo bags with deodorizer). All worked just fine, just be mentally prepared. Loved the bed and stove in the tent. Might recommend a pop up tent to put over a picnic table for shelter in case of rain. Everything was wonderful and memorable. Hosts are a very sweet, attentive, generous couple. Highly recommend. Kids (4 & 7) cried because they didn't want to leave.”
“Picturesque camping spot along the Middle River! James has thought of everything to make your stay lovely. Great communication, thoughtful amenities and a lovely farm backdrop make this an excellent spot to camp. Swimming in the river was cold but so much fun and sleeping in the comfortable camp bed while hearing the foxes and owls at night was peaceful. We will be back!!”
“Great place to camp! We enjoyed our stay at skipping rock. The camp site was completely hooked up with a glamping tent, wood-burning stove, outhouse, loo, fire pit and kayaks! The location is this terrific spot in the back of a farm along a river. If you like kayaking or tubing, we highly recommend! The owners of the property were so nice, bringing us extra water and checking on us once a day! They even helped me get my van out of a ditch with their tractor. Would defintely do this again. Maybe book both spots and invite more people!”
