“The site was great. It was clean, well maintained, with a variety of supplies and utensils for cooking at a fire or small charcoal grills, a large basin for washing up, multiple chairs, clothes line, lights. There were several hard coolers on site as well as several large jugs of water, and one bundle of firewood. One of the two mattress was made up with a pad with fitted sheet and two pillows.
The site is beautiful, with a paths through the woods, small clearings, two creaks that runs nearby and a small pond.”
“If you're looking for a private and quiet camping experience, BOOK SUNDOWN NOW!
My boyfriend and I needed an escape from the city. We are so glad we found this place! It was such a relaxing, fun, and romantic place to unwind.
You have the entire property to yourself. It’s so private we ended up bathing in one of the creeks and you also have the option of bathing and swimming in the pond. The camp comes super stocked up. There are multiple charcoal grills, a propane grill, pots and pans, plates and utensils, 1 large igloo cooler and 2 smaller ones. Enough water to last us 3x what we could have drank during our 2 day trip.
We did have a hard time finding the pond at first. Our instinct was to follow the narrow trail but we were wrong. You just follow the wide trail across from the tent and stick to your left.
A word of warning, we had no cell service. Maybe we have terrible providers. Honestly, didn’t bother us and was actually such a welcomed surprise.
Some items that were we'd suggest you bring:
- LOTS of bug spray
- Lots of ice
- Firewood
- A lantern
- Steak knives (only butterknives onsite)
- A blanket (fitted sheet and 2 pillows were provided but no blanket)
- Extra pillows, if you're boujie
I was already mentally planning my next trip here as I wrote this review. Can’t wait to come back!”

“The site was found as described on the listing details. One big turn off was that we found three small wasp hives inside the tent and the tent was left open prior to our arrival so we found the tent full of bugs, mosquitoes, spiders on the beds and wasps flying. We had to make a run to the nearest dollar general to get a fumigation bomb. I highly recommend bringing your own bed sheets, we’re glad we did because of this. Other than that, we had a great time visiting nearby arrowwood farms and hiking nearby vernooy falls.”
“What a great campsite! All the amenities to make your camping trip comfy. We love camping but this is a great way to do it a bit easier without having to lug tents and all the equipment. Trust me the stove in the tent is plenty to keep you warm on a cold winter night. He provided plenty of water for us to use and there’s various ways to cook. We really enjoyed grilling over the fire pit. The land is very nice with small trails and very cute pond. Very clean waters. We saw the deer at night pretty much every night. So cool. Host is very attentive. Anything you need he’s happy to help.”
“I CANNOT WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!!
My boyfriend and I can’t rave enough about the wonderful, exciting time that we had. The campsite was fully equipped from cleaning supplies to toiletries, even drinking water. There were two grills and a stove top including the fire pit. We took a shower in the creek, that’s how private the campsite is, lol. We used the oven inside the camp to keep warm at night. The pond is close by and I also took a dip in there…
I wish I could post pics and videos.
The campkeeper is so great, he came to check on us and gave us some great ideas for sight seeing and visiting towns nearby.
I am so glad I chose this campsite. My memories are priceless!!!!
Thank you Peter!!!!”
