“Great spot for camping in seclusion! There are a couple of well kept trails to explore the property. The site is surrounded by tons of space with lush vegetation and feels very isolated. Gas station is only a few minutes away and makes it very easy to pick up essentials like ice or wood.”
“We had a great time at sundown! Very clean and private area. Be aware of 0 cell service (kind of enjoyed not using phones). We visited the blue hole the following day and had an awesome time exploring the state park- beautiful.”
“Great experience overall. We are novice campers. We had 3 people in our party - one grown up and 2 young kids staying at the site. The site was great - it felt remote (Verizon wireless service was very spotty), but was really not too far from civilization. The site is very private, feels like you are deep in the woods, even though you are not too far from civilization. Everything was well prepared for us, when we arrived. The area has some little hikes, so you can explore the surroundings - it was great for the kids. Also nearby, there is a little creek, that kids loved playing in. A short drive away (5 minutes) there is a nice hike (”
“This place is a Fern Gully. Bird lovers will love it! We saw all kinds of wood peckers, Veery, Catbirds and a Barred Owl! The birds were singing all day long especially in the mornings. It was wonderful! The stream is a short walk away from the camp site and you can hear it from the tent. The summer sun was pretty intense so we spent a lot of time in a little pop up tent by the water. The stream is refreshing for a little walk and splash but due to the summer season not deep enough for a full dip. But still refreshing!! I filled the sunshower with stream water and took a shower right next to the stream. There are a few short trails on the property which were fun to explore. This site feels like you are fully submerged in the Forest with ferns everywhere and beautiful trees. Peter gave us total privacy which was really appreciated but was available by text or call if we needed anything. There is some noise from mopeds, neighbors hammering and playing music in the distance so you aren’t too far from civilization but besides that you feel like you are deep in the woods. You can drive right up to the camp site which makes packing and unpacking very easy. We escaped the heat for a hike in Minnewaska State park one day which was perfect because it’s pretty shady around the lake then came back to the campsite once the sun was low in the sky. A great stay. Thanks Peter!”
