“The campsite is idyllic, located right alongside a river with a small waterfall and easy entry if you want to take a dip. Very private and large site to relax. Went on a hike nearby, would recommend the Stissing Mountain trail up to a fire tower for great views. Also recommend checking out Millbrook Winery, stunning property with wine tastings, didn't need a reservation just stopped by. Final recommendation is Millbrook Diner, a quintessential diner.”
“My boyfriend and I just stayed here for a two night getaway and had a wonderful time. It was chilly, but the wood stove kept us nice and toasty. When they say solitude, they really mean solitude. It was the perfect chance to get away from everyday life.”
“This place is a hidden gem. I arrived just as a blanket of snow fell and the scene couldn't have been more magical. Although I was prepared for the cold, I did not expect the single digits in the evening (one of the coldest days of the year). As a result, I only stayed one of two nights, but I cannot wait to head back there in the Spring/Summer. Looking at the guest book, it seems a lot of fun is to be had in the creek that runs along the site! And, of course, the chocolate chip cookies will once again be ordered. Thanks, Alex (and Nick) for the opportunity to see this place. Again, I'm sorry I could only tough it out for one night, but I'm already making plans to make it back with kids in tow.”
“Our stay was absolutely wonderful! You really do have solitude, and the creek is beautiful- there’s even a little waterfall! Alec and his family are so nice and helpful. The homemade muffins were the most delicious muffins we’ve ever had. The wood stove kept us nice and toasty in the tent (we visited in December) and there are plenty of little spots within a half hour to get some nice hot coffee when you wake up! We will definitely be visiting again in the warmer months- can’t wait to be back!”
