“My fiancee, myself, and our puppy had a great time staying at Creekside Solitude! Alec and his son were great hosts! This was our first experience in a tentrr, and we were not disappointed. For starters, the fresh baked cookies are a must! We were greeted with them when we arrived. We also ordered firewood and a cooler of ice, both of which were at the campsite when we arrived. The campsite was clean and fully set up when we arrived (the smaller regular tent, and even a pop-up tent over the loo). The site is secluded in the woods and right on the creek, about a 2 minute walk down a well manicured path from Alec's home and where we parked. 2 large wheelbarrows were provided to bring down our things, which worked great. Alec's son was even kind enough to help us wheel our things down. Alec had very helpful fishing location recommendations (as the creek was low). The woodburning stove in the tentrr was very effective and helpful as it was quite cold at night. Highly recommend this site, and we hope to be back soon!”
“Loved this place - it is so charming and perfectly placed by a creek. Things to note are that parking is not on site (but wheelbarrows are provided and work great) and that things would get wet if raining; check in is quite late (3pm) and the loo is placed far from the tent. We loved it though and if there is no rain scheduled for the weekend, and we can check in by 1pm, we would love to be back.”
“We loved our camping experience at Creekside Solitude! Alec and his family were such gracious and hospitable hosts. We were welcomed with a warm plate of delicious cookies! (We highly recommend getting them). The set up was exactly like the pictures. The smaller tent is already set up and the fire pit had a grill top and fresh cut wood waiting for us. The creek is lovely and a great way to cool off after a long hike. Our kids and dog thoroughly enjoyed it! If you’re looking for a fun camping experience not too far from NYC - Creekside Solitude is perfect!!”
