“Lovely spot, but we ran into a lot of issues while there. We followed the provided directions for the heater but could not get it to work. The sunshower was in the process of being replaced, and never arrived in time, so we only spent one night there out of 2. Honestly, should have received a refund for this.”
“Lovely site with lots of well thought out extras. (Particularly appreciated the spider catcher, extra comforter, cooking tools.) Very cute decor in the tent. Quick to respond when we ran out of water. Only complaint is that we would've liked to have known how much firewood was included in the "extra firewood" add on. Even paying for the extra we barely had enough for the very mild temperature first night (we cook over the fire). But that's on us for not asking. Next time we stay in a Tentrr we will be sure to ask for clarification.”
“Good:
- Lovely fall foliage around and during the drive to and from the campsite.
- Great driving distance from everywhere to visit.
- Clean tent and was provided adequate supply of alcohol wipes, toilet paper, and other necessities.
- The heater was adequate for the cold fall nights (35-40 F) considering you have an all season sleeping bag down to zero degrees F. See comment below about draft and outer zipper.
- Was provided several lanterns that were great to use and two were very bright.
- The mattress was adequate.
- The campsite setup is beautiful.
Comments:
- We couldn't enjoy a lot of the available campsite amenities due to the very cool afternoons and cold nights. We would imagine it would be great during the warmer days.
- The most outer layer of the tent couldn't be zipped up horizontally and would allow a draft to come into the tent and heat to leave the tent during the nights. This won't allow for sufficient heat retention during cold weather.
- My partner would have loved some more hospitality especially during and after a full day of heavy rain and a few cold nights to check-in on us.
- The floor would get damp during and after rain despite having a couple of rugs in the tent.
We would definitely recommend staying here during the warmer weather.”
“We visited in October, surrounded by beautiful fall foliage. We took our two little girls there for their first camping trip. The campsite was very clean and inviting, with added bits of charm and convenience. We loved exploring the trails and nearby sites, including Burger Hill Park. We also loved the star gazing and falling sleep to the sounds of nature (owls, coyotes, etc.) Garrett was very responsive and helpful and respected our privacy. We highly recommend Honeybug Hill to others!”
“The perfect place to enjoy a weekend away. Views of beautiful morning sunrises and nighttime stars. Garrett is so sweet, she went above and beyond to make the site feel special, safe, and clean! There's even a heater inside to keep you warm at night.
