This was our first Tentrr excursion. It was awesome! First thing to know, NEW TENT! So the reviews that mention that, no worries! Nathan the Campkeeper was quick to respond to answer questions before we went. Kenny, the on-site keeper made sure we had what we needed. This site is super private and was perfect with our two large dogs. They had a blast playing in the creek. There are some extra items there if you need something in the storage benches. They had plenty of firewood and an axe if you want to split logs. We brought some dry seasoned wood which helped get great campfires going. There’s a second table with an umbrella too. It was nice to set my camp kitchen there. This was my first camping trip in many years. They made it super easy!

This was a really nice spot for an easy getaway in the woods. Lots of land and privacy which made for a peaceful stay. The creek was nice to listen to at night. I loved how we had the whole place to ourselves with no one else in sight. The campkeeper (Nathan) was responsive and very helpful, but it was the tenant (Kenny) living at the main house who was on site and available for anything you needed. He was willing to help out however possible. Although we didn’t really need any help, it was reassuring to know that he was there if need be. Both of them were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived much later than anticipated due to heavy rain in the area, and our beds were made and the extra dome tent was already set up. (Neither tent allowed any rain in the entire time we were there.) You can bring your own bedding or extra tent if you prefer. The site is user friendly as you can pull your car right up to the campsite, but you do need to drive up to the main house to refill the 5 gallon water container that they provide (or if you have your own) unless you want a really strenuous workout carrying the full container back to the site. There was firewood there but bring kindling if it’s been raining recently. They have a broom, a rake, an ax and several other useful things at your disposal. There was an additional picnic table with an umbrella which was nice since we had a lot of people and “stuff.” The only reason that I gave it three stars and not five stars is because of the large canvas tent. Due to circumstances beyond the host’s control, the tent was very musty and “mildewy.” With all of the rain this year and being in the woods and constant shade, the tent does not dry out properly. As a result, it was quite dingy on the inside with a lot of mildew stains. When we asked about the tent condition, the host said that several requests for a new one have been made but to no avail. They are still waiting for a replacement tent. Perhaps it would not have been as bad if it wasn’t sooo humid and hot during our stay. The weather definitely exacerbated the issues with the tent. It’s unfortunate that the tent was in the condition that it was, but we made the most of it and still had a great time. The kids (ages 12-17) had fun in the creek, and we enjoyed looking at the stars at night. I would definitely stay there again, but only if the tent is replaced. Thank you to Kenny and Nathan for an overall wonderful camping excursion.

Great campsite. Remote and quiet. Plenty of wood to keep a fire going as continuously as you'd like. Plenty of water and a great set up for relaxing. The tentrr tent is a little old and beat up but kept the bugs out and kept us warm all night. One of the air mattresses has a hole in it - but that should be an easy patch. We'd definitely come back here again for some quiet R&R.

We had the most amazing time at Goldmine Hideaway. I live fairly close to the town and just wanted a spot to go for the weekend. This was my first time doing a Tentrr site and my friends and I were blown away by the hospitality at this site! It was a great location, peaceful and exciting! We had a downpour while we were there and ran inside to our cozy tent! We had plenty of firewood and they even added another table with an umbrella where we put all of our things before the rain came! We took a nice walk and there is a peaceful stream going through behind the tent. It was the perfect weekend and we will be back in the spring.

We stayed this weekend with our children and had so much fun! What a great spot to enjoy the beautiful view of the stars and tranquil sounds of the running water at night by the fire. Our children really enjoyed being able to venture out and play in the running stream next to the site. The campsite owners supplied way more than we could have expected, as well as checked in with us a few times to make sure we had everything we could have needed. Nathan heard we had children and send us a list of local things we could check out during our stay. We would definitely come back in the future! Thanks again

Amazingly tranquil site was private, perfect, and secluded. We couldn’t have felt more welcome and cared for. They had everything we could need and were always available should we have had any request. I recommend this campsite and will return one day myself.
