Riverfront Ritz was incredible - completely secluded, right on the water, with everything you could need and more! It was so nice to be able to fish without having to leave the property. We were so close to Lake George and Glens Falls, so my fellow campers got to enjoy some day trips but I didn't even want to leave the site, it was so perfect! Rita was a phenomenal CampKeeper, super engaged while giving us all the privacy we wanted. We only ran into one issue (finding the base of a propane heater) and Rita came down to the site herself to make sure we were able to sort everything out. She even brought an orange reflector vest for my dog to be safe during hunting season. We can't wait to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the tubes and kayaks she has on site!

This campsite is beautifully situated along the Hudson, a great spot for seeing the fall foliage. Rita and her husband were wonderful hosts, providing us with everything we could need. The woodstove was great for keeping us warm during the chilly nights. Definitely recommend an AWD vehicle to access the site, however, Rita was happy to help.

Rita’s Riverfront Ritz was a great hideout with all the amenities and more. Rita is a great host. The property is very well maintained and she has added quite a bit of the home away from home feel while still maintaining the camping atmosphere. Will definitely be keeping this one as a favorite for future stays!

Perfect secluded spot right on the river. Unwind by the campfire, swim in the river, fish off the dock and hiking nearby. Amazing views. Peaceful and fully stocked with lots of supplies. The owner was super nice and accomodating. Would definitely recommend and go back.

Beautiful secluded spot on a lovely pristine part of the Hudson River. We enjoyed the campfire and especially the swimming. Solitude was key but we were a short drive to the town where there is even a public, sandy beach. Rita provided everything we would need, in case you forget something, she’s got you! We played some of the games that were there, and floated on rafts we blew up under the full moon at midnight, naked ;) Enjoy this spot if you can get it, we will definitely be back!

Our long weekend at the Riverfront Ritz was the perfect getaway. The campsite offers a beautiful view of a peaceful river and is itself a sanctuary. This site was the perfect balance of privacy and accessibility. You could spend the whole time on camp enjoying the scenic view or get in a car and explore the surrounding town and nearby hiking, such as Hadley Mountain (it's 3.6 miles roundtrip and nearly all uphill so start early!). However, what really made the weekend even lovelier were our hosts, Rita and Jim. The two were quick to lend a hand with whatever we needed including water, supplies and most importantly, fresh blueberries, which they greeted and sent us off with! Rita and Jim were always a text away and although the cell service in the surrounding area was spotty, it worked just fine down at the campsite (especially if you have AT&T). The campsite had a ton of amenities just like Rita said in her blurb for the Ritz, which included inner tubes, assorted dish and cookware (look around for stuff, it's probably there!) and candles to keep the critters at bay! The river is perfect for a paddle board or kayak and an awesome spot to float around in. The local grocery store, Tops, is only a 6 minute drive away if you want to stock up after you arrive (as we did). We could not recommend this site more and would give it a 6 out of 5 stars if we could thanks to Rita and Jim!
