“What a beautiful site. My daughter, her dog an I spent a few days at Elk Valley Creekside. This was a perfect place for a get away. The camp keeper was wonderful and did everything perfectly to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. I will definitely be going back there. The only thing I had a hard time with was finding a tree branch that I could hang the shower bag on but it all went well. I recommend this spot to everyone. It was so peaceful and serene to fall asleep to the creek flowing over the stones and the waterfall. Great memories were made. Thank you!”
“My daughter and I wanted a little getaway. So we found Elk Valley Creekside. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and stayed til Sunday. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed and we felt very comfortable. The area is absolutely breathtaking and Barry the camp keeper made sure we were ok. I am telling all of my family and friends about this site. We plan on going back. We saw wildlife and fell asleep to the sounds of the creek and waterfall. So peaceful and relaxing. Thank you Mr. Grettler for making our vacation wonderful.”
“We had an awesome time at this campsite! The site was beautiful and pretty secluded. Our 10 year old daughter loved wading in the creek and we spent a long time hunting for skipping stones and skipping them across the water.
The site was super well kept and great for our kids to explore. The fire pit area is lovely and there was plenty of wood ready for us to use.
We highly recommend this site and will be back for sure!”
“This was our first family camping trip. We have 2 boys aged 7 and 10, and a Great Dane. We were cautiously optomistic about camping with the boys, but we had the best time and plan to make this our annual family spot.
The campsite is beautiful and very secluded, but still close enough to run into town if you need/ forgot something.
The creek bed was wonderful for the kids/dog and we spent hours walking/ wading up and down the creek in both directions looking for creatures, hitting the swimming holes, and just enjoying the beauty of it all!
Caught a nice size bass in one of the ponds and enjoyed walking around the other pond and watching all the frogs jump (this was our dogs favorite part). You have to drive to the fishing pond, but the frog pond is very close to the camp site.
Barry (campkeeper) was very hospitable and accommodating and checked in on us and was quick to answer any questions/ needs during our stay.
There are a lot of "extras" at the camp that aren't listed on the site so we definitely over packed! The Tentrr tent has queen bunk beds, which are great! Also had air mattresses in the 2nd tent, a couple of electric lanterns, TP, e.t.c. Be sure to talk to Barry and ask about all that's there before you pack. It'll save you some space in the car!
5 star rating for sure! Our boys will always remember their first camping trip, and will look forward to returning every year!”
“We had a great time at this campsite! The tent is set up right on the creek (which was more of a river after the storm!) and it is very secluded and private. We had our dog off leash the entire time. The CampKeeper, Barry, was available the entire time and very attentive to our needs. He had enough wood for both the campfire and the stove chopped up and ready for our use on site. FYI: you must drive across the creek to get to the campsite, so keep that in mind if you have a car. We had an SUV and were fine, but I'm not sure a car would have been able to drive across. Overall, we definitely recommend this site!”
“The site is beautiful, right on Elk Creek. The camp keeper, Barry, was very helpful and accommodating. There is a pond on the grounds that has great fishing. My dog also had a great time playing in the creek. Would definitely recommend!”
“Fantastic! This site was incredible. The creek and waterfall were soothing to the ears and mind. The wildlife we saw on the creek and in the pastures was an extra bonus. We saw bald eagles, blue herons, white heron, deer, fish, hawks, and the monarch butterflies were abundant in the fields.
Cant say enough of how private and surreal this site was. The dogs loved the place running an swimming in the creek (playing fetch the stick).
The tent and campsite were comfortable and clean.
I would recommend this site for anybody who likes hiking, swimming, bird watching or just relaxing.
The only suggestion I have is to stay an extra day or two, we only booked for 1 night.”
