“The campground was beautiful! The tent is set up next the lake isolated from the other campers. You are roughly around 50 ft away from the lake, so it was nice to wake up and quickly throw your fishing line out. The scenery was amazing especially the only mornings and around dusk time. We experienced a couple thunderstorms during our stay it was a wonderful experience. I would like to hit up this campsite again in the future. The only thing I would say if I had to give a recommendations. The tent is on a slant so that means the fire pit was on a slight incline making it a little difficult to sit comfortably. You can also purchase boats/kayaks day of if you didn't get them on the website! They do have wifi but it is near the bathrooms and the signal does not reach the tent. So investing a couple extenders or a nesting system so that it may reach all of the campground would make some of the electronic campers happier. I didn't mind it because it made me detach from electronics and social media and truly enjoy my stay! Strongly recommend this site!”
“I left after one night:
- Tent was broken. The screen door zipper didn’t work. The solution was some duct tape and a binder clip. That might have helped guard against bugs, but I had my two dogs with me. To keep them in the tent at night I had to fully zip the canvas doors, so I had a stuffy night indoors rather than a breezy one overlooking the lake (it is beautiful).
- It was loud. Some reviews make it sound like the site is secluded, apart from the RV park. It is not. The host RV is directly behind the site, and the beach/swimming area is to the left. Lots of generator and kid noise. And the host was using a weed whacker starting at 8:30am.
- I ordered firewood but it wasn’t provided. I couldn’t remember if I had, so this is on me a bit. I wouldn’t have wanted to use the fire pit anyways. It’s not placed where it is in the pictures (lakeside). It’s behind the tent and you aren’t allowed to move it.
- Hornets nest over the tent.
- Dogs have to be on a leash, even while swimming. So it’s not really a place your dog can play in the water.”
Hey there Anna, thanks for your feedback here. Without honest reviews like yours, we wouldn't know where to improve. We are very sorry to hear that you had a less-than-ideal stay at one of our campsites. Since your review, we've gotten in touch with the host at this particular site and addressed some of your concerns. We sent over a resolution for the zipper on the tent as well. He is aware of them and moving forward with future bookings, will be more mindful of the items you mentioned.
Again, we apologize for the situation that occurred, but hope to see you out camping with us again soon!
Cheers!
The Tentrr Team
“We had an awesome stay and really enjoyed the beauty of nature. Our Tentrr was nice along with the additional tent supplied. Firewood and Ice were brought to us very quickly upon asking for it. We will definitely be staying again. It was a somewhat rainy weekend but we made the best of it. If you enjoy fishing, there are plenty of spots to go along with walking the banks, you have a big piece of private beach. Bathrooms were a timed 3 to 4 minute walk which was perfect. Bathrooms and showers were nice as well. The park manager is about 100 feet or so behind the Tentrr in a camper, so asking for things was easy. It was a fun stay!”
“This place was insanely beautiful, even more so than the pictures suggest. It was such a quiet and peaceful campground. We rented kayaks and swam, it was so much fun. The host introduced himself and was very kind. I seen a couple reviews regarding the bathroom, you did have to walk but it wasn’t bad, you can even drive up there. We will definitely be coming back.”
“The pictures do not do this place justice. This place is DEFINITELY heaven on earth. You have the best view on the entire camp ground. I must be honest at 1st I was nervous as I’ve never been camping. But this is the prefect place for 1st timers. Even though there are other campers around everyone was really nice. And kept their distance. You really have your own piece of the park. The host was kind and quick to answer any questions we had. Firewood, Ice, & bait can be purchased right at the camp office. Oh & did I mention that you can drive right up to the tent. Which made unpacking and packing really easy. Having to use the bath house wasn’t a problem either. It was clean. And if your not up for the walk ( 5 slow walking minutes) you can drive. We enjoyed ourselves & will definitely return.”
“Amazing! This is a little slice of heaven. Easily the best view of the entire campground at your tent entrance. You’re also in a secluded part of the campground which is nice. There’s plenty of wildlife to watch and the serene landscape will keep you entertained. The bath house was always clean. 10/10 would recommend!”
