“I have to said this absolutely awesome campsite so privacy and so peaceful! Big bonus is big round firepit that really keep warmer all day and all night long. I love it! Also you can going on hiking trail right over down hill from campsite nearby creek river. They have everything on campsite what you needs but in the case you have to bring your own stuffs, foods, drink, firewood etc. Tent is good condition but too old and need update. Campsite is prefect for family,
couples etc can have own privacy that exactly where you be in middle in forest. Campkeep is cool guy which easy communication and helpful information I asked and he quickly respond. I will definitely return campsite near the future. You will love it, believe me or not! Thank you Larry for awesome camp!”
“We’ve been lucky enough to have been to many TentRR sites. This location was beautiful, set along a stunning river and the host was over the top friendly and helpful. However there were a few downsides. First, the tent was pretty worn down, and had mold. It’s not a quiet area - I-78 overpass so the highway noise was constant.
By nightfall the tent had mosquitoes coming up through the floor gaps which made things a little more uncomfortable, maybe a rug could be laid to keep the gaps covered?
We also had 3 men walk along the trail (which is right next to the tent) and then linger after dark. It was concerning because it was dark, and I was not aware that the trail was public. I just assumed that we were on private property. Another downside -the trail down to the river was very steep, and we had some difficulty climbing down with a child as it was slippery and nothing to hold onto. We looked for another trail but didn’t find it. It took our dogs a good shuffle to slowly make their way down as well. I wish that had been noted, maybe we would have brought a rope.
That aside, the river is incredible. Lots of fisherman at dusk and we saw them catching fish. Our dogs absolutely loved the water and we plopped down 2 chairs in the middle. It was refreshing. The pictures of the river didn’t do it justice, it looked like Montana honestly. Overall we really enjoyed the river, and the camp keeper Larry was extremely kind and accommodating.”
“Sycamore Hill was such a great find on such a great piece of land just outside of cute town Bethlehem, PA. Hidden in this mossy, green landscape - there is a path just down the hill to a stream great for fishing, tubing, and swimming. Even though it rained most of the time, we truly had a great time cooking, eating, and playing games. Larry was an outstanding host and made our experience in tip top shape even with the rain. He's the best! Will come back soon!”
“We had a nice time here. The only issue was that the space is fairly small and there’s not a lot of room to pitch the second tent. We enjoyed wading in the creek. It was a clean site and easy to access. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We stayed on our way to do a tubing trip in the Delaware which is only @30 minutes away.
It’s also close to stores and restaurants in case you forget anything.”
“This was our first Tentrr experience and it did not disappoint. The campsite is beautiful and in a very private, hidden area on the property. Great fire pit & eating area. The tent looks a little weathered but that didn’t bother us, it did it’s job and was nice & roomy. There are bunk beds with nice, big air mattresses. We went swimming in the creek, picked wild raspberries & made lots of s’mores. Larry was responsive & I definitely felt if we needed anything he was right there. Pet friendly so our little pug came too & we all had an absolute blast!! Highly recommend”
