“We overall had a great time!
We purchased a tarp and left it across the floor for other guests. The wood slat platform allowed for bugs to enter and we weren’t comfortable with that.
There was some noise from the boat ramp as others mentioned, but we weren’t expecting that sleeping in a tent would be perfectly silent, and it did not wake us.
There was a wasps nest in the outdoor cupboard, we had state park staff remove it and they treated it with urgency!
If I could change one thing, it would be the parking. We didn’t really see any reason you shouldn’t be able to park right next to the site like at other campgrounds. Hopefully they change that soon!”
“Beautiful Site, however on the email said we could check-in sooner than the actual time. It had a great view of the ocean it was nice and private, and the beds were better than expected!”
“We loved the surroundings and the amenities were close by. It was in a beautiful setting and enjoyed our time. Will do it again.
Please note that the park office closes at 4pm so plan to get there before that for the car pass.”
“It was a bit hard to find, I tried calling and got no response but I found it after not too much effort. My daughter ran to the camp spot to explore and got stung by a bee. There was a bee hive inside the storage table right next to the tent. There were dozens of bees swarming. This is a detail, that if the spot was inspected and managed, should not exist. There was also an odor that smelled like a dead animal. I traced it to the trash, that was full and reeked. I moved the trash away from the camp spot. While the location is scenic, it's also right next to a very busy boat launch. I think the best part of the tent was the mattresses. After sleeping on a mat for the last few days the mattress was a comfortable. Overall the rental is way overpriced for what it is and doesn't appear to be actively managed with care.”
“Not the place for a Tentrr. People walking by our campsite and right thru it when we were sitting outside with our dogs. No privacy at all. The state park doesn’t even let you pull your car up closer to the tent just to unload all your stuff. You have to park at the end of the field and walk. The boat ramp near by was noisy and busy the whole time. There’s a play ground legit right next to the camp. Photos of the place made it seem better than it actually is. Park staff was rude also. This place is deff not worth $100 a night. We didn’t even stay for the second night because it was just miserable. Waste of money.”
