A bit expensive for what it offers.

The tent site sits in a field at the top of a slow rise about 100 meters back from a semi-public road. The road ends 20 meters from the edge of the field at a public boat launch and beach. There are two toilets just across the road, and a children's playground 20-30 meters to the left of the site. The field is mostly open with only limited shade, but super clear star viewing. The boat launch, beach, and waters nearby are active from early morning through dark with lobster boats delivering their catches to a collection point, folks who are going fishing launching their boats off their trailers (and parking the trailers in the field), jet-skiers, and folks fishing off of the landing. The park's loop trail is adjacent to the tent site and is in regular use by campers at the main part of the Maine State Park. Across the water (Mt. Desert Narrows) is the Bar Harbor Airport with lots of private jet traffic. The tent itself is clean and dry. The queen-size bunkbeds are topped with memory foam mattresses, there is a gas stove for heat. Inside you'll find a pop-up shelter and solar shower for your use if you choose. Outside there is a picnic table with small cabinet attached and two heavy, wooden Adirondack chairs. There is a firepit on site but the cooking grill wasn't usable (it was made of thick rebar); the park staff loaned us a nice grill that would have fit on a small Weber. Firewood and ice are available at the park entrance. Lamoine State Park is about 45 minutes to an hour from either the main parts of Acadia National Park on Mt Desert Island (MDI) or the less traveled Schoodic Peninsula side. We've been to the larger part of the park on MDI, so this trip we went to the Schoodic side and were entranced.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was a convenient way to camp and the sunsets were beautiful! Since it is located on a state park, there was a bit less privacy than we were hoping for. There is a walking path near the tent as well as a playground, so other people using there grounds are relatively close. The set up was perfect and bathrooms were clean and so close

Fantastic park with excellent, clean facilities. Yes, the bed frame is creaky, so if you have four people sleeping in the double bunks and you are a light sleeper, it might not be the best sleep you’ve ever had. But is camping ever “like home”? I’ll take a creaky frame with a mattress over sleeping on a pad or ground any day.

Everything was as advertised and well put together. The beds were very comfortable and nice to come back to after a day of hiking. While the sunset can only be seen through the trees at the campsite, it's still very nice and enjoyable.

Location is beautiful, right next to the Jordan river so sunrises are gorgeous! Very little light pollution, which makes it an ideal star gazing location! Tentrr was very accommodating about extending our stay, and communicated well throughout the whole process. The campground staff was very nice! Definitely would recommend this place for those looking for a camping experience on the verge of “glamping”.

This was a great campsite! Right outside the campground and directly on the water. I saw a few reviews complaining about the treeline, but it’s needed as a wind break! Otherwise the campsite would be a total bust. There is a tent underneath the bed for extra campers, and the bathrooms were easily accessible. A quick drive the Acadia and a really amazing value for what you pay. The bunk bed is in fact very squeaky, but the air mattresses have been updated to foam mattresses! Comfy! There were some bugs that flew/crawled in through the cracks and the platform, but this would be an easy fix if tentrr would seal it off or add a mosquito net. Overall a really cool experience and would recommend.
